Poll is what should be banned, not what should be unbanned.
a) Brainstorm
b) Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time
c) Delver of Secrets
d) Nothing
e) Other... - comment please
Asnwers other like unban Yawgmoth Will/Mindtwist/Surival of the Fittnest belongs to B&R thread.
Here will be only poll.
For clearance - we doesn't judge any others votes, we only comment our own choices.
Aim of this poll is to answer question - how to fix actual diversity of decks.
Poll is open to public - if you shame your votes I can make it anonymous - PW please.
Update: Poll will be up until next B&R update, there are not multiple chooses since this poll answer which card should be banned at first step, I'm against long ban list.

Are we talking deck diversity or card diversity? I voted as though the former.
Anyhow, I voted for Delver, as the shell based around Delver, according to the decks that made day 2 atthe GP, has the highest penetration of different cards (based of the product of percentage of field running that subset of cards and the percentage that subset of cards comprises in each individual deck, not wholly accurate but a good estimate).

the best answer is
C, unbanning

Other, the entire Delver+Daze+Force of Will+Ponder+Brainstorm shell b/c of the sheer numbers it puts up.

Meh, they're too slow a clock.
Though it might be nice to switch things up for a change, just for the hell of it

Just axe Treasure Cruise. I'm not sure Dig Through Time is busted enough to ban yet.

Ban duals real talk.

To elaborate on my previous post, lets say 75% of the field runs the classic 4 Brainstorm, 4 Ponder, 4 Force, 8 Fetches, 4 Duals. Thats 24/60*3/4 or 30% according to my formula. Now, lets say 50% of the meta are running 4 Delver 4 Daze 4 Cruise and 4 wasteland in addition to that shell. Thats 40/60*1/2 or 33.3_%.
Not wholly accurate again, just an example of what im talking bout
I really wish we could ban this discussion taking place outside the designated thread for it.

Look, I'm pissed that googling "top 8 decklists legacy" leads to a fuckton of Blue engine decks too, but you have to acknowledge the problem cards all across the board. It isn't *just* Blue cantrips.
You can't just glare at Brainstorm/Ponder/Serum Visions/Preordain/every playable Blue 1-drop noncreature spell without nodding the head to Flooded Strand. Does no one else remember when an early Brainstorm was a bad play? Fetchlands did a lot to change the way people view all of those cards.
There's also a ton of things that perform a similar function in Blue that don't get played only because they aren't Brainstorm. Like, obviously BS is the #1 guy in the draw engine (again thanks shufflers) but is the problem necessarily that much better if people just start playing, like, Portent or Index or Impulse or other such nonsense. No it wouldn't be *as* broken, I'm not saying that, but the issue doesn't just wither and die because the Big Ones get banned. Top would still be a thing; everyone votes to ban SDT in "that other B/R thread" but people spend more time getting a wet diaper over Brainstorm like it's the keystone to the whole thing, and it's fucking not, there are a ton of moving parts and many of them happen to also do a lot of good for the format.
I'm not saying don't discuss a world without BS/Ponder/Force at the heart of most major archetypes, but don't stop the discussion at those 3 cards either.

I say: ban everyone who starts a "ban thread"!
We have 3 active-ban threads atm. Wtf

Maybe there are three active ban threads because people are really unhappy with the format?

And the truth of the matter is that banning cards continues to be a less than fabulous solution, which is why nothing has happened. If you want blue to be not in a dominant position, there needs to be easy cards that generate effective consistency. Banning or unbanning random shit does nothing to this end.

I'm not going to argue one way or the other here. All I'm saying is that three active ban threads seems indicative of a general unhappiness with the format.

Or maybe it's three dumb shits mindlessly creating redundant threads, but I guess that works, too.

Moreover it's the same faces in the three threads. I guess this one is a trap, one that I also fell into...

Or maybe they want to create a thread where some proactive discussion might take place. The B&R list thread is the butt of a lot of jokes here. Why does that attitude encourage its use?

About as proactive of a discussion as you can get on the matter:
"Man, doesn't it suck that Wizards has dropped the ball on every opportunity, including but not limited to Phyrexian mana affinity delve and timeshifting, to give black an aggressive cantrip?"
"Yeah."
"Sucks, man."

Ban true name nemesis because it is an insult to the game and unban goblin recruiter and survival

Yea, probably just this.
GP NJ seemed to show that at quite a few people are happy enough to meet at New Jersey to jam Legacy.

We have a thread for this already, so this one's closed. Interesting that more people think Delver is a problem than Brainstorm though. Discuss it in the other thread.
