Dear Sourcers and Mods,

The success of MTGO and Streaming moved also the social aspects of the game online and social media like Facebook and Twitter gave us options to get in touch with Wizards employees, tournament organizers and players from around the world on a more direct way which was never possible before and have replaced one-channeled consume-focused medias like Blogs and Articles with more content-selective options including direct Feedback.

TheSource, as one of the worlds prime Legacy related websites, has not caught up to that demographic change and I dare to ask if it's possible to enable embedded Twitter posts via like other Forums have or introduce a Sub-Forum for these social Media channels for users streaming certain content (like Julian Knab with Elves for Legacy and Scapeshift for Modern @ Twitch) or use Twitter for Legacy/Modern content (some even with a focus on certain decks).

Thanks for your time!

Yeah, that was me plus a couple other adepts / mods. There wasn't much interest in keeping it running though.

It's not that a forum account makes much sense compared to a hashtag. But both are not my topic

I have been involved with direct contact before with Game devs. Via Twitter when I has heavly into the game coding side of things, a site I was on would sift though things and I would send messages when anything was found. In short, it's a quick way to get in contact if nothing else but a very impersonal one.

I am not sure what use it would have here though. In that case we had something of valid use we could point to, here there is rarely ever a uniform view or face. While. I can see sending a message from a site account and putting some weight behind the message, I feel in all respects that it would do very little.

In this community, single personalities hold more of a voice than a collection does. Someone like Julian I feel would get more done with a tweet from a personal account than we would manage with a tweet from a site one.

I know. I do this with another image hoster, but I do not know why we don't have a plug-in for twitter directly. On top of that, I see the need to connect other MTG related media with the Forum like we have established with Articles and Podcasts (with the later needing it's own subforum imo). Seperated sub forums for articles, podcasts, streams (bumping if Stream goes online like Julian does in the Elves thread), Twitter, etc. are the least to adapt to the new media channels

The other day there was the question about dedicated Legacy Players on Twitter and I realized that there is no way to get an overview of Players streaming or people tweeting Legacy content/updates etc.

Personally, I like the quick and direct feedback these social media enable compared to the forum and they lack connection

We could have a "Big Fat Twitter Thread" in F&A or Community.
