Ladies and Gentlemen,

Booked my flights and hotel (Hotel ibis Lille Centre Gares) for the upcoming GP in Lille from 3-5 of July. This threads purpose is to get in touch with other Sourcers going there to go out eating, chatting and party. I'm thankful for locals speaking up for suggestions of restaurants, bars, lounges. It's been year since I was there for a semester ;)

Looking forward!

Team Euroswag and its Canadian subsidiary already confirmed and renting a castle.

Also, make sure to sign up for one of the last slots at the Ambitions 2015 (https://www.facebook.com/events/833450786697730/?fref=ts) - the most high-stakes Legacy the format has ever seen, the Friday before the GP.

How much was your room, and how many are staying? There's a band releasing gig dates soon, and I'm booking my whole year after that.

Lille, Utrecht, Liverpool, London, Hellfest or Download, Every Time I Die, Devin Townsend, and hopefully a PTQ or two in this whole thing. This year is going to be AWESOME. There's also a bunch of cards released with my birthday on them, so I have to get a load of Soulfire Grandmasters and Tasigurs and draw party hats on them.

Let me know when I need to pay my share for the castle. One Summer Mountain should do it, amidoingthisrite.pimp?

I'm seriously excited.

One of the presents for my birthday last year was a trip to Lille "with a bunch of nerds and a trunk of beer". So yeah, I'm going to take a break from my parental leave and be there.

My predictions for the event: Sneak into Day 2 at 7/2, barely make it into the money and demolish aforementioned trunk of beer with the aforementioned group of nerds! This is going to be awesome.

Decent chance I'll make it over across the Pond. If I do, I believe I'll be joining Team Euroswag and the Canadians as the only American in the group  Going to be a dream come true as well as I've always wanted to play legacy in Europe <3

Excellent! I need advice for Bars, Lounges and Nightclubs! I know enough decent Restaurants by my time in Lille as a student (if they still exist, of course), but now I need more classy evening activities than back then hahahahaha

Best places to eat in Lille? - cuisine and price do not matter, only quality.

You could start with one of the three restaurants in Lille with one Michelin star:

La Latiterie, 138 av. de l'Hippodrome 59130 Lambersart
Val d'Auge, 805 av. du Gén. -de-Gaulle 59910 Bondues
L'Abre, 1 pavé Jean-Marie-Leblanc 59152 Gruson

The latter two look like they're pretty far from downtown though.

If goblins wins that GP, I'll be on the lookout for someone like Feline Longmore to take down a SCG open or something with solidarity just so we can laugh and say that the demise of the 2006 metagame has been greatly exaggerated.

Edit: Goblins, elves, and solidarity, so I guess we'd need Julian to at least top 8 at lille as well.

Im just gonna do a TL;DR right away, because that story can take from 1 to 3 hours to talk about.
Got smashed on a german navy boat. Got punched on a navy boat.

Because of exams I wont have any opportunity to test for the GP except the trials on friday.
I can't decide between two decks to play at the GP, what would you do if you were me?
My goals are not that high, I would be very statisfied if I made day 2.

ANT
pro: most experience with, harder to play against, enjoyable to play, opponents are less prepared for this combo deck
con: difficult, the difficult miracles matchup, exhausting,

Omnitell:
pro: raw powerlevel, easier to play, better miracles matchup, harder to interact with
con: less experience, boring, everyone is prepared for this matchup

Hitchhiking, I would imagine, would be the cheapest and easiest way.

Just stand by the side of the road and wait for some trucker to come by and help you out.

Lol, ok. Well Philipp does not want to sign my cards, just sold my complete Miracles.dec...

Anyway, just had an update on the BoM site for those interested:
"Bazaar of Moxen is thrilled to welcome two artists at GP Lille, amongst which, for the first time in Europe, Michael Sutfin, the illustrator of the awesome Legacy staple Sensei's Divining Top, which is also the GP Play mat!"

Michael Sutfin: cards (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&artist=[%22Michael%20Sutfin%22])

If someone found a green deck box with a cat on, written "wild & free" including a legacy infect deck, or knows someone who did, or recognized it maybe after Trial 6 (Philipp Schoenegger won it and Julian Knab also took part), I would be very happy and thankful, if you could bring it to the information point. If you leave your mail and your name, there will be a reward!
Thx a lot for reading and sharing!

Kai Sawatari is at 71st with 21 points. There are a ton of people with 21 points. Jean-Mary Accart just missed the cut.

It would have been one more if I had registered in time... I was planning to register on site, but I hurt myself Friday morning, causing me to miss my train to go to the ER. Sadly, online registration was not possible anymore on Friday. I wonder how many other people didn't register in time.

The last two European GPs were also in France, and got 1587 (2014) and 1365 (2013). Before that, it was Ghent with 1345 in 2012, Amsterdam with 1878 in 2011, Madrid with 2228 in 2010, and Lille with 938 in 2006, in terms of Euro GPs. So it seems in line with the other ones.
