Monastery Mentor in Legacy (esper?)

Monastery Mentor looks like a lot of fun and I've been considering how to use it. 3cc is on the slow side so I'm feeling a bit of a control shell? Esper looks like a possibility. A cool interaction with Mentor is if you have 2x Sensei's Divining Top (one in play and one on the library) you can tap top #1 to draw top #2. Play top #2 (trigger MM). Repeat. Make tokens and buff. Obviously we would want a bunch of spells to cast since this SDT combo won't always be there. Well Dark Confidant helps draw stuff right? Not to mention synergy with SDT. While we're at it maybe some number of Counterbalance? At this point I'm just at work daydreaming about this. Cabal Therapy & Lingering Souls seems good here too. Anyone think Im on to something worth trying?
