Anyone remember Suicide Black from way back in the Legacy day? I know it has went to the wayside due to better decks floating around, but is it possible for the deck to re-emerge with the larger card pool we have today?
What about some of Suicide Black's classics with bitterblossom and a disruption/removal package? I just have several of these cards laying around and wonder if it could even be feasible as a Tier 2 deck. The one thing I have learned about legacy is that saying "a deck is dead" often backfires once somebody finds that key element.
I just wanted to throw the idea out there and see what others think and if anyone can get a list going without turning into the run of the mill Mono Black Aggro. Thanks.

Man, I want to believe in the dream, that classic Sui Black could make a comeback. I see some potential with some of the new Delve.
*sigh* The problem I find is that the whole premise was you'd play stuff like Carnophage and creatures that were more efficient P/T in exchage for life, the shitty reality is that Delver, Tarmogoyf or Mongoose pretty much beat it at its own game.
It really makes you think. What advantage do you actually have over those decks nowadays? What if you drop a Tombstalker or some 4/5 fatty and they drop a baleful strix and just chill there? You wouldn't be able to Snuff Out or Innocent Blood, you'd have to Smother which costs mana and is a horrible 1-for-2 trade. This is kinda' what I think about if I were to really try to forge it together. I think The Gate was probably the best take, trying to go over the top with Bitterblossom, Percy, and use Gatekeepers and Innocent Blood to keep making them sac early. But then again that's more mid-range attritiony, not really Sui at all.
Sui Black really needs like a :b: 3/3 that etb and you lose :3: life or so.

And not to mention, stoneforge mystic is a pain in the ass....discard could handle it though.

I'd say something like
Dark Ritual
Thoughtseize
Unmask
Fetchlands
Tasigur, the golden fang
Dark Confidant
Bitterblossom
Nantuko Shade
Gravecrawler
Jitte
Those seem like okay choices... just to throw out some ideas. I was always a fan of Hippie, not sure its strong enough these days, it's one of those that can flat out win you the game sometimes but it can also backfire horribly. Sometimes the random discard is your best friend and sometimes it's just not your night.

Dark Ritual into Master of the Feast is always a thing. Some decks can't beat the Master if he hits the board.

I've seen a deck full of Thoughtseize, Watery Grave, Dismember, and Death's Shadow (http://magiccards.info/wwk/en/57.html)
Other options: Bitterblossom, Toxic Deluge.

I agree with the previous post, suicide black is just outclassed by Goyf and Delver. This deck, however, has evolved into EVA Green. Might want to take a look at that thread.

Master of Feasts just seems bad, when you have Miracles playing like 6 swords and Abrupt Decay and Jace/Liliana in so many decks. I've played against him in Standard, it was laughable I kept drawing so many cards and just bouncing him back to my opponents hand it wasn't even close. And I picture a situation, you go against some Dark Depths like last tourney I saw, they just crop roate into a Maze and just sit and draw out till they can win. Long story short, giving opponent a free phyrx arena each turn is really bad.

Funny you mentioned it, when Tasigur was spoiled I immediately thought Eva Green. I'm actually surprised that wasn't a huge resurgence. With :b::g: they now have potentially 8 Goyfs and Abrupt Decay, which is strictly better than Smother. And just having green gives it a million times better SB options with KGrips, Reverent Silence, Choke, galore.
With Tasigur I wonder if Eva can afford to play a full set of Wastes.

A red splash is looking promising too. In the Red Death-thread (been dead for years!), thei're experimenting with adopting Pyromancer/Swiftspear/Chain-lightning-bolt in a shell with Dark Confidant and cheap discard (thoughtseize, cabal therapy, gitaxian probe).
