I dunno. I've never been a fan of stuff like this. I mean, yeah, it's a chick and, yeah, it's not a bad face, but it's also not depicting Thalia. It's depicting face.

This art makes her look like another shallow selfie whore who tries to show off her new sword instead of the strong soldier/leader vibe the original art had.

EDIT: Super high Res shot of the art of Argyle's tumblr shows a reflection of Avacyn in her eyes. Fuck thats actually boss

Calling the card ugly is a vast overstatement.

It's a good art, just not fitting the card.

I like the concept--a closeup like this is something that we don't really have on many (any?) Magic cards. While it's neat to have this different type of perspective on the card, it's a bit too close up in my opinion. I don't need the whole body or anything, but it really should have been zoomed out a bit.

Looks like a decapitated head shot from an anime pr0n playmat. Buy a set foil if you want a foil pokemagic deck other wise you are just faking it.

Mayael's art was actually depicting something important (her eyes). This is literally just qt+sword.

Steve Argyle and Jason Chan are my top two artists. This and Mayael the Anima aren't my favorite but I wouldn't call them terrible. I'm starting to appreciate this card the more I look but I agree it lacks action.

I disagree with this not showing the true Thalia.

The focus radiates from here, like a true guardian. Her eyes shows an enormous amount of dedication, I feel like.

Said it before but it looks like Kaley Cuoco with freckles, which I guess isn't the worst thing. Some of those sketches would probably have turned out better though.

The framing reminds me of old Legends art. The anime hair isn't that bad. It's no Jace, Memory Adept.
