Hey guys (and gals, of course),
To introduce myself briefly: I'm a 29yo Legacy and Vintage player from Ghent, Belgium. I've been traveling to GP's and BoM's for about 4 years now, as a member of team Magic Club Ghent. Locally I'm known as the organizer of the Belgian Legacy Cup and level 1 judge. I work a pretty dull office job, and I like crude/dark humor and loud rock music.
Anyway. Prague Eternal is coming up in June, and in case you weren't aware: that tournament is really freaking awesome. So I'm going, and what-do-you-know, there is a GP the weekend after in Copenhagen that is Modern. And I kinda like Modern too, you know. So here's what I'm doing:
- Fri June 12th: fly from Charleroi to Prague (arrive around 4PM).
- Sat/Sun June 13-14th: play Prague's Eternal Legacy and Vintage Main events. Crush face (hopefully).
- Mon/Tue June 15-16th: party hard are/or do touristy stuff (this will be my 7th time in Prague, I know the city pretty well).
- Wen June 17th, 9AM: fly to Copenhagen, arrive around 10.20AM.
- Wen/Thu/Fri June 17-19th: party hard are/or do touristy stuff (I've never been to Copenhagen before).
- Sat/Sun June 20-21th: play the GP. Most likely, I'm chronically hung over by now.
- Mon June 22th: fly back home in the evening. Consider selling collection. Start testing for GP Lille instead.
Flights are already booked, so this thing is motha-effin' ON.
However, the rest of my team doesn't seem quite so frisky about this magic-and-debauchery-filled endeavour, so it seems this hellbird will be flying solo for at least part of this trip. Now, I have two non-geek buddies joining me for the weekend in Prague to party with in the evening/nights, and I will more than likely meet up with the Belgic Magic crew when they come over to Copenhagen to crush face, so I would only be one my own for a day or 3 at most.
On the other hand, assembling the Eternal Prague/GP Copenhagen-combo doesn't seem to require Doomsday-style genius to me... So maybe there's more of you who were planning to go for a similar sequence of events?
If so: wanna hang out, maybe align part of our trips?
I still have to make my ho(s)tel/appartment arrangements. I'm probably getting a small appartment through AirBNB for me and and the 2 non-geeks for the weekend in Prague, and I'm looking into getting a room in the same building as the Belgic Magic-guys, once I hear from them. I might just fix hostels for Mon-Fri if I were to be by myself that period. But that could all change depending on what responses this post yields.
So, who else is going off on Legacy-Vintage-Prague-Alcohol-Copenhagen-Alcohol-Modern in June?
