View Full Version : When did SCG Charlotte change from Legacy to Modern??

I saw the Eternal Weekend announcement for that same weekend (Aug 22-23), and was confused. Then I see that SCG swapped the DC and Charlotte formats that they had announced (using screenshot of their own announcement to avoid weaseling)

I am sure I am the only person who had already booked a flight from NYC to Charlotte for the SCG event, because I also wanted to take my kids to visit their cousins down there and I made a trip out of it (Late summer, last chance before school starts). But it really, really sucks that we see SCG making late changes to their events while doing limited if any notification to their customers. (The Northwest has been hit hard by this, it seems).

You are the only person. I thought it made sense to have Atlanta be legacy instead of the smaller cities so what do I know. Atlanta got type 2.

Atlanta always seems to get crap formats. Our GP is limited of all things.

Again that is. I think last year was limited too right? Idk only GP I've participated in was ATL 2012 for legacy and it was AWESOME.

I only go to limited/type2 GPs for the legacy side events. With the current structure you still get a 5k event, so hopefully that's still of interest to you.

It looks like they're updating the pages now, the DC page is down at the moment. Maybe they'll make an announcement after that's done.

I wish we got a legacy GP. I assume they've just done the math and schedule all of the legacy events in the northeast or California because of player turnout.
