Which cards are synergistic with Ethersworn Canonist?

I'm trying to build a deck with 4 Ethersworn Canonists maindeck.

What cards are synergestic with Ethersworn Canonist?

Some that I have thought about are:

*Hard counterspells. No more Force of Will getting countered by Spell Pierce or Daze

*Flash Creatures. I can play Vendilion Clique and Venser after my opponent has played a card on his turn. Then they can't do anything mean to them until it is my turn and I untap.

*Repeatable bounce. Venser, Shaper Savant or Capsize can allow me to lock an opponent out from playing new cards if he has no instants (or artifacts).

What other cards and ablities are synergistic with Ethersworn Canonist?

I like Aether Vial. It allows you to stop an opponent cold when he might not expect it; or he has to play the game in a way to always expect it, which also hurts him. On top of that, I think the very best way is to have flash creatures. If you wanna go over the top, flash creatures that either bounce of counter something. Mystic Snake comes to mind. Even though it's so mystic, it's far from good enough in Legacy though. So maybe Venser?

This maybe too far into Magic Christmasland, but there always was that cool combo (if you can pull it off) of Ethersworn Canonist and flipped Erayo, Soratami Ascendant.

Venser/Karakas seems pretty inbeatable, short of Wasteland.

This maybe too far into Magic Christmasland, but there always was that cool combo (if you can pull it off) of Ethersworn Canonist and flipped Erayo, Soratami Ascendant.

It and Arcane Laboratory happened to be legal in the same Extended and where a royal pain.

I personally feel this idea is just not really strong enough to build a whole deck around, but if you're going to run some E tutors.

Sadly, Abrupt Decay kind of kills the Erayo plan.

The most synergy I've seen Canonist have with is a deck was when people were trying to make that deck with Aether Vial, Tidehollow Sculler, Cranial Plating, Force of Will, Master of Etherium, Vedalken Certarch, artifact lands, Mox Opal, Etched Champion, Phyrexian Revoker, Thoughtcast, and things like Baleful Strix and Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas, sometimes Stoneforge work.

Syncs up with the artifact thing, creatures, vial, counter magic.

I wouldn't say it's a good deck though, not least because of how Wastelandable you are.

What other cards and ablities are synergistic with Ethersworn Canonist?

Artifact and artifact-synergy spells like Sphere of Resistance,Frogmite, or Master of Etherium.

Stuff that has effects without getting cast like Decree of Justice,Aether Vial,Ninjutsu, Bloodsoaked Champion,Bloodghast,Unearth

Sacrifice effects like Transmute Artifact that can let you break the symmetry of the canonist effect.

Cleric tribal effects like Starlit Sanctum or Edgewalker.

Bomberman Combo (Auriok Salvagers + Lion's Eye Diamond + Spellbomb or Bauble) functions under Ethersworn Canonist, so that could a a direction to look in.
