Looking towards buying non-english cards. What's the best way to locate and purchase them? Interested in german, Japanese, and chinese.

TCGPlayer has finally started allowing people to list some, so that's an option. ChannelFireball usually lists them as part of their regular listings as well. Beyond that, checking a bunch of stores and going to gaming conventions is probably your best bet.

You simply contact a fellow german sourcer via PM, Facebook or Facebook TES Group  to get you the german stuff off MKM and ship it to the Staates. The same applies to japanese stuff as sawatarix (Kai Thiele) works for TokyoMTG (is also a member of the TES Facebook group) #NotSoHiddenAd

One american guy bought a few japanese cards from me on MCM. He is registered with European address and he just asked me if I am ok with shipping to US for an extra shipping cost.

For Japanese cards, I've used these places:
http://www.hareruyamtg.com/en/
http://tokyomtg.com/
http://www.enndalgames.com/page/7
I've also bought cards from MKM. I just messaged the seller first to see if they would send overseas (to the US), and he did.

I've purchased cards from MKM using this website once:
www.mailboxde.com
It was only like $50 worth of stuff, but they combined all of the cards into one package and shipped it over for like $10.

I've never bought from MKM, so I've never used this, but I'm looking at picking up about 5-6 FBB duals. Should I be worried about anything on any aspect of the transaction?

Card conditions in several european countries are pretty questionable. Got once a "mint foil SFM" from spain where the foil layer was already partly peeled off at a corner lol. No offense, but close to no card I ever received from italian or spanish non-professional seller, was close to the condition advertised (more likely 2 grades below). Get scans first for expensive stuff - sincere advise

I have sold my japanese Aether Vial playset on MCM to US. The buyer just asked me If I can do it, I found out that shipment cost to US is almost the same as to EU... and I just sent it.
I.e. I think you can try to find what you are looking for at the MCM and just ask the seller.

Pretty much everything I buy is foreign with an emphasis on Japanese. I've used Ebay, SCG, SaitoCardShop (now http://www.hareruyamtg.com/en/), occasional local trades, and now TCGPlayer.

Like I said, I've only used it once but it did go smoothly. You can get insured shipping if you pay more, obviously.

I'm having trouble understanding their insurance policy. I'm really interested in picking up a bunch of German cards, but somehow 2 of the last 3 packages I've gotten from Germany have gotten lost in the transition from Customs to USPS.
Plus from that understanding, it's 1.25 EUR per envelope, and then 1 EUR consolidation + postage?

Mailboxde might just change the way I approach ordering foreign stuff, it's not a bad deal at all considering how much cheaper I can get stuff on MKM compared to most of the domestic ebay auctions I see.
