Played something mostly untested in Ghent, here's how that came to be:

After playing the UR Omni list with Pyromancer in the board locally, I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts in hindsight. This seems like it has a lot of potential.

This seems really powerful.
Do you have any more insight you're willing to share? Sounds like you've made a few changes and know enough now to make some more. I'd definitely be interested in working on this more assuming Dig Through Time sticks around.

Seems a really good list (that crystal vein tech make SO much sense in this kind of deck, it's essentially city of traitors that don't impede ur mana development if you're not all-in combo), surprised you did pretty mediocre but probably it being a new list u lacked a lot of play finesse especially in sideboard decisions.
Pyro and Mentor are two creatures that allow players to switch incredibly fast from hand-sculpting defensive positions to aggressive positions so fast. Mentor especially often felt like a 2-3 turns clock when i saw Bonanni's playing it.
Hi Carsten. First of all, thanks for the interesting article and decklist. I myself have been playing Grixis Omni-Tell for some time, but with Thoughtseize and no Probes (and no Pyromancers). I really think that Burning Wish is much stronger than most people think, and that playing Grixis is a really good option. However, it would be really great to hear your thoughts on the deck now that you have some experience with it. The following topics come to mind:
(i) The manabase: Only 18 lands and no basic swamp or mountain seems rough. Did that cause you any problems? I’m also a bit unsure what to think about Crystal Vein. I can see why you would want it in this deck, but it will surely be a lot worse than City of Traitors in a lot of situations. From my experience, you often want to be using the City two turns in a row. You may play it in order to be able to play a Dig eot, and then follow that up with a Show and Tell. Or you may simply want to play Show and Tell two turns in a row (the first one into countermagic for example). If you have to sacrifice Crystal Vein in order to make the first play, then the second may be impossible. So how did the Crystal Veins work out?
(ii) Young Pyromancer in the maindeck: I like the idea, but it surely comes at the price of making the combo weaker. I can easily imagine having Show and Tell and Omniscience in hand, and then drawing a useless Pyromancer. It is quite common to find yourself in a situation in which you have an Omniscience in play, and have to dig with Ponder and Preordain for the win. In that kind of situation you want to have as few dead draws as possible, and four Pyromancers will be just that. So did you ever feel that the Pyromancers weakened the combo too much? Or was this offset by the ability to switch between strategies?
(iii) Cabal Therapy + Probe: As I said, I’ve been playing Thougthseize and have been really happy with it. But I’ve been considering the option of Therapy + Probe as well, so how do you feel about this option in comparison with Thoughtseize? Of course, with Pyromancer you want Probe, but were the combination Therapy + Probe good enough in itself in this kind of deck?
(iv) Grapeshot + Petals of Insight: Any reason you selected this over Enter the Infinite + Spiraling Embers?
If you have the time, I would really like to hear your opinion on these matters. But anyhow, thanks for an interesting read.
