Hi there guys.

I've been altering cards for the pas year and a half, and I'm coming up to the point where I think I have a decent enough level to start selling it online. I'm in France, so I usually use MKM to sell cards. But I know that a lot of people also sell on ebay with auctions.

What I'm wondering is if I can really benefit from it, and how to do it? I mean what price should I start at with cards, how much time should I let it on ebay, are the auctions really the good way to do it, etc?

I don't know if I made myself clear enough, but thanks for reading!

I have no experience with eBay, but there is a sticky thread that appears to be on the topic:

How to get the most ouf of Ebay (http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?10997-How-to-get-the-most-out-of-Ebay)

Good luck!

Thanks! But another thing I was wondering, related to altered cards is: will it sell well? How do you put a price on an altered card? Are auctions the best way to sell them? Will the fact that I'm not known in the alter community (unlike poxy, bigup etc) impact the price?

Those are question for people that sell altered cards on ebay, if you would be so kind as to explain me how you sell them, it would be a huge help ^^' thanks!

Altered cards are their own scene. They sell very well on that scene and command a price dependent on the skill of the artist and the design of the card. Selling cards you have altered is one way to do it, but selling commissions is more common. That way someone can give you the card, the idea of what they want and all it costs you is time and paint.

Thats likely the best way to do it. Normally that's done on Facebook from what I am told.

(I am looking for someone to edit a powered Shops deck right now. So I have been doing some research.)

I do have a FB page and I'm taking comissions, but I also have some tops, JTMS, etc altered that are in my binders, and I'd like to sell some of them.

EDIT: I don't know how to edit my signature, so here is my FB page if you want to take a look and tell me if I have any chance to sell my alters https://www.facebook.com/MTGalteredhenrifaure?ref=hl
