It's been a while since I talked about Miracles (http://www.mtgmintcard.com/articles/writers/philipp-sch%C3%B6negger/legacy-lessons-a-new-miracle), so here we go! :)

Thank you for the article. When you say "Sneak Attack is back", is that based on recent results or just a feeling that it will return? I can't find it, sorry.

DTT gone = Omni gone = Show and Tell players moving (probably back) to Sneak And Show.

It's not based upon any numbers (as of now) but there hasn't really been a time in Legacy after Mental Misstep where there wasn't either Sneak Attack or OmniTell. And with Dig Through Time gone I can't really think of any other logical solution than Sneak Attack.

Can confirm. Got slapped by more sneaky spaghetti monster surprise me in my sleep during the last 2 weeks than in the entire TC/DTT era.

And during the Mental Misstep era there was Hive Mind, which was a close cousin. As long as we're touching on Legacy history, Show and Tell's first breakout performance was, I believe, in the Dream Halls deck that took down a 270-player event in Frankfurt, Germany, at the beginning of 2010. Before that, Show and Tell was a few bucks at most. I had several copies in my binder, and after Dream Halls won that tournament out of nowhere, I was able to trade some for $10 apiece. Seemed a great deal at the time, but obviously WOTC had to screw everything up and print absurdly powerful cards as if they forgot about the legions of other cards they printed over the years that cheat things into play. There really was a time in Legacy before Show and Tell ...

ESG is right, the first time we saw Show and Tell do some actual work was also the last big tournament Survival of the Fittest was legal in. It was won by some list using it to put either Dreams Halls or Progenitus into play; also featured 4 copies of Cruel Ultimatum and Conflux:

That deck looks infinitely more interesting than modern S&T decks.

It was slightly more interesting to play/play against, however, make no mistake about it, most games were still: Show and Tell -> Dream Halls -> conflux -> 'win' or Dream Halls -> conflux -> 'win' or Show and Tell into Progenitus.
But back then I atleast had some respect for the deck as with Dream halls you still had to have enough cards in your hand and the symmetrical effect of the card could cause interesting situations (Pitch Dark Ritual for Ad Nauseam into silence comes to mind  ). But I digress
