I was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in starting some classic 93/94 on mtgo. I know the client isn't the most amazing in the world, but it is nice to be able to sling spells of a mostly niche format on a more regular basis. I know multiple sources where at eternal weekend when their was a large turn out for an amazing event on that Friday for classic. What are people's thoughts for possibly starting this up. With the prices of cards on mtgo, it seems like a minimal investment to play if you play legacy and vintage. Its a great format with lots of fun cards that we otherwise never get to play. I know I try to play it in the getting serious vintage games but it is a real dog to tinker and the like.
Just wanted to get people's thoughts and maybe start something where we share screen names to have fun with casual games.
And to the moderators, I was not sure where to place this so I am sorry if this is wrong and please move it where it needs to be.
Thanks again.
Seth
Seth, here are the results from the EC 93-94 tournament at Eternal Weekend 2015:

The problem with Old School on MTGO (aside from not using Old School cards, which is the point of playing Old School) is that you don't have access to Chaos Orb on MTGO, which is the most important card in the format, in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah that is a great article. And I agree about it not being perfect but I wanted to see if there was a little interest in slinging some cards. Living in Maryland, it's been slow to get people interested in it. I had done a bit of play testing in line with one of my buddies and realized the buy in is incredibly low of you play vintage online.
When are you guys thinking about having your next event?
Btw thanks again for the last event. It was awesome and made even better when I heard team tusk's podcast recapping the day.

People do play M94 on Cockatrice from time to time. The nice thing about Cockatrice too is you can order the appearance your sets display, so everything is true Old School borders.
Honestly, don't bother with it on MTGO. Find people interested in the format and willing to play it on Cockatrice. It's not the true format experience by any means, but it's a decent way to test out some theories and play some old-school.

Not to mention the entire card pool is not available on MTGO.

What are the relevant missing cards besides Chaos Orb? Giant Shark?

I know Field of Dreams isn't on MTGO, but that's from my desire to make Lantern work in Legacy. I don't know about 93/94.
Even if you can ignore the other things above, here are a few relevant cards not on MTGO that I found missing in a few minutes:
Chaos Orb
Land's Edge
King Suleiman
Electric Eel
Lifegrip
Field of Dreams
Sorceress Queen
Natural Selection
Mind Bomb
Giant Shark
I'm sure there are others, but not having the first couple is quite damning.
