I've been noticing a lot of people selling miracles foils lately on some of the Facebook magic sales groups. Does anyone think this is a response to a potential banning of Sensei's Divining Top or some other miracle piece?
How likely do people think this is? (I don't want to make this a why/why not top should be banned, more of a discussion of likelihood)

People like money and the foils, coincidentally, are valuable.

This might be an overall trend not only linked to Miracles, but you noticed it about the particular deck. IDK, it'll be fine to see some sales statistics.
People tend to be bored with things, and once the foil cards' prices went absurd, people realized that there's no need to use fugly and bent cards when a non-foil works the same.

Foils do suck.Unless it's the judge Maze of Ith.
To be honest I don't see a lot of movement in the speculation market with Legacy. With Dig and Cruise the writing was on the wall, with every else it is far from being as clear.

This time of year is always good for buying - after New Years is even better. Some people will downgrade their pimp decks to non-foil but internationally there is no slump in foil prices for key legacy pieces. Older foils are actually becoming much harder to get and consequently more expensive (stuff like metalworker and crop rotation). New foils however are much cheaper (and ugly) and I don't see their values holding up with the way Wizards are reprinting these days. Look at Emrakul for example.
