The weekend before Christmas I went back to the roots of my international Magic career in Madrid. Despite having played the game for much longer, Grand Prix Madrid 2010 marked both my first ever major and international event. I remember being super excited but also a bit scared about the sheer size of what at the time was the largest Magic tournament in history. My friends told me not to bring my binder because it would probably be stolen, so I left it at home. Joke’s on them: it was stolen the very next week at a local event.

Fast-forward five years and I have stopped counting the number of GPs I have played in. This weekend concluded the first year of the newly created MagicCardMarket tournament series.

You can find my article over Mind Sports International: MKM Series Madrid – Report & Outlook for 2016 (http://www.mindsportsacademy.com/News/Index/241)

(Please note that a new dedicated Magic website will be released on 24th January, including all the added functionality like hover-over cards that the current one is still missing.)

Your luck, incredible :(

Yeah, I'm also happy to hear, that JK takes over the MKM Series, since the old organizer punted like nearly every event.

I hope, I can make it to any event this year (to much to do), welp, I have to even hope to make it to the Legacy GP. But if I make it, I have to say hi to Yoshi again

Greetings,
Kathal

There's a couple more bad things that happened after I had already submitted the article. The craziest thing is that the old organizer ("TOP") can't produce the final standings, which means that the new organizer ("JK Entertainment") now has a lot of trouble updating the Final Leaderboard for the Super Finals in May. They actually asked on Facebook whether anyone took a picture of the standings...

And I thought it couldn't get worse :frown:

Well, I guess SCG wasn't flawless from the beginning either...
