In a pretty surprising announcement, at least to me, Legacy is getting a bump on MODO after the great results from Pauper play. I think it's good for the Legacy community and maybe we'll starting seeing an even faster metagame cycle.

That was long overdue. It was partly postponed because they wanted to figure out a more "competitive" prize structure. Appearently that was all bullshit and they still deliver the same crappy payouts.

That's fantastic! I only hope this isn't it for Rishadan Port reprints on mtgo. 1 more port per month isn't going to do much to the 180$ price tag.
But anyway, so stoked about this. Leagues is so perfect for us semi-casual players

This is amazing. I don't even care that the value isn't as good as it could be... I'm tired of jamming 2-mans and getting false hope when 2 people sign up for an 8-man.

The prize pool here is interestingly different from the vintage prize pool. In Vintage, giving one of a specific card is essentially adding another player to the pool of possible players, since one is often the number of cards that the prizes are restricted to. In legacy, giving away one of a card is more of a value proposition. You won't be building decks from your winnings but you can trade your winnings into the deck that you wish to build.
