Hey guys, am just wondering if anyone knows what the first card was that used [entirely] digital art. I don't mean a card such as Rishadan Port that had a part of it digitally manipulated, but rather the whole piece.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it's Alpha COP: Black, because they forgot to have art for it, so it was made in about 5 minutes digitally IIRC.

You mean Beta COP: Black. Alpha did not contain COP: Black, right?

Do you think Blue Ward involved paint or pencil? Seems like something computers of that day could have made...

The background seems that has been made with marble art, I don't think it was made with a computer (but not sure about it)

Examples of marble art: https://www.pinterest.com/popupkiwi/marble-me/

Edit: I found that for reproducing the backgrounds of mox jet and ruby, this artist used the marble art technique (probably it's how Dan Frazier did them originally, which seems a similar background like the one from blue ward):

Sorry, I should restate aside from COP: Black, which was sort of an exception to their "ban" on digital art at the time.
