Maverick Deck?

Well, the list is easy, trying to use Stoneforge Mystic to search and play Batterskull giving creatures protection with Mother of Runes and having card advantage with Dark Confidant.

I like this card Phyrexian Hydra because with 1 equipment can kill with one hit but I'm sure there are better cards to use instead (I don't have tarmos or other expensive cards, but I will check your sugerences after post replies)

I have recently changed birds of paradise with Hymn to Tourach but I'm not sure if mana base could be bad and I could play Myr Superion with aether and birds.

Should I use Thoughtseize or Duress?
