Me and a friend are going to build an app for magic players as a hobby project. We both work as web developers so I think we will be able to build something pretty nice.
Our best idea this far is to try to build a deck builder. I really like Decked builder, but I miss some things:
* a maybe board
* swiping between different artwork of the same card
* deck notes for things like matchups and card choices
I would love to get some ideas from here.
* What do you miss from the deck builder you are using?
* Do you have any other suggestions for apps? Maybe something more original than a deck builder even :-)

I would like an android app that allows quick goldfish simulations: quick fetching, quick pondering, etc.
Crop images are quite good: I had an apple app once that was pretty good but I don't remember the name.

There used to be an MTG Judge app that was really good. It's three best features:
1 Searchable comprehensive rules (I keep Yawgatog bookmarked now)
2 Database of oracle text - no pics, just the text
3 Deck counter - Split the screen into four equal sections labeled 1 through 4. When you've got a sorted deck or a decklist, it makes counting the deck super easy
Idea I haven't seen:
Show me a picture of what my sideboard should look like after I'm done de-boarding. With a transformational sideboard, it can be easy to miss a card but it's easy to compare to a pic.

Be careful when soliciting features: http://dilbert.com/strip/2013-02-25
That said, my desire would be for a mobile deckbuilder with something that has integration with a collections site, such as deckbox.org. I don't know if they have REST endpoints available for public consumption or anything like that, though.

I have this at my desk at work because it is the epitome of my job sometimes.
I think one around rules support would be fantastic!

What I really would like is a way to play the game, but perhaps that would be difficult to simulate... But yeah, that would be my request

Thanks for good ideas! To the posters asking for a judge app, what's missing in: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ndrue.gathereroffline&hl=en? It looks like it has what you are asking for.

An app which automatically calculates the amount of Black/Red/Blue/etc lands needed in your deck according to the manacost/-color and quantity of the cards you selected.
Essentially automatically building your manabase for decks, especially relevant for Drafts.

Advanced sideboard plans: Against deck X and deck Y, sideboard these cards out and these in, with alerts for invalid sideboard plans when you change something in the deck.
If combined with a maybe-board, I think this could be a pretty powerful tool for making sideboards and sideboard plans.

Fully functional support for mouse cursor used in phones such as Gratina 4G?
(Not that I am biased or anything :D )

I use a nice excel to build sideboard plans.
The deck list and potential SB cards are on one sheet. The SB cards show the current configuration and all potential slots with a 0 so thy still show up as potential SB slots in the matchup sheets.
Each single matchup is on another sheet.
Then on each matchup sheet I write down the number of cards I would like to (or could side) out next to each card which is stated as a decklist.
On the SB side I write a number of how many of a certain card I would board .
The excel shows how many cards I want to side and out and how many I can side in (so if there is a difference it shows that there is a problem).
It also shows which cards i would like to have most. (you have to think about which is the best card to side in vs. a given matchup - i.e. if would board in 4 Dread of Night vs. DnT but you would not board in 4 pithing needle).
The result is that you specifically start to think about each single card you would have to board out for a matchup and make clear priorities of what to board in. That is ideal for SB tuning. (You have a column "can side in" - as in available in your current SB configuration) and "would side in" as potentially useful in the matchup)
There is also a version (on the play vs. on the draw) - especially important for decks playing daze. :)
To implement this as an app would be quite challenging I guess but super useful.
A "print SB" plan button is obvious and a "publish" or "share" function for our analysts and writers.

I'm on iOS and I don't see that app available... ):

Can you come up with a set of requirements for that?
One can start w/ 14 out of 60 equates to X% chance to have a certain colour on T1 as a requirement, so you can use hypergeometric distribution to calculate that for decks of any size, but after that it becomes much more complex. You'd have to start accounting for gameplans.
And you'll have to somehow tell your software it does or doesn't have access to certain cards (fetches, duals) and if that access is limited (i.e. you might only own 1 Bayou). People'd have to input their card collection for such a feat.
