G/W Prison, or "quicksands" as I like to call it, is a deck I thought of at around 11:30 am on the night after Christmas. Due to that, I have no idea whether or not this deck works nor have I played a single game with it

Despite all that, I'll write what I can about the deck what I can

Quicksands is a mana denial strategy, and a Chalice deck, but forgoes the usual plan of using sol lands like Ancient Tomb to power out Chalice on turn one, but rather plays a high number of lands, Exploration, and Mox Diamond to power out lock pieces early.

In the matches where a t1 Chalice/Sphere doesn't end the game, we can make it near impossible for spells to be cast, by recurring Wasteland and Ghost Quarter using Life from the Loam to keep our opponents off mana

But how do we win the game? Well, for one, our opponents can concede in frustration, but usually, we set up a
Dark Depth + Thespian's Stage kill using crop rotation and the like. In rarer cases we can win by Knight of The Reliquary beatdown, but you'd probably rather keep it untapped to find combo pieces.

The rest of the deck is mostly just cards that help us not die, mostly one-of tutor target like Maze Of Ith or Glacial Chasm, and Swords to Plowshares

Possible includes would be a GSZ package, black mana (with Dark Confidant and Abrupt Decay), or a few sol lands, like I said, this deck is super unrefined and I want to make this deck playable at least an LGS level

Unless building around a new spicy card, usually when designing a deck you should ask what your deck does better than the existing decks in the current meta. Yours seems to occupy an intersection between Aggro/4C Loam and Lands, so I would posit the question to you as to why your deck is better than either of those two.

As a KotR/Chalice deck it seems you are a worse chalice deck than 4C Loam due to your copious 1cmc spells -- 12 total. When your lock pieces turns off 1/5th of your own deck you've got a bit of a problem.

As a Loam/Depths deck it seems you are worse than Lands due to an inconsistent Loam package. Lands can loam profitably since its got a higher density of lands and a recursive removal package in punishing fire. If you loam over your STP there's nothing you can do with it, so you will be unable to loam aggressively depending on the board state.

My suggestion would be to first playtest 4c loam/Lands to see if there is an offshoot of either of those two you'd like to explore. If one exists you'll likely come to something close to what you've currently drawn up. I think at the very least it needs a Tabernacle especially given how creature light you are already.

When drawing up the deck, my initial idea was to make a version of lands that didn't just scoop to combo, so I wanted to add the hate package of Sphere/Chalice

The original build of the deck was Junk, but I needed to keep it relatively inexpensive for now, so I decided to take out the Bobs and Bayous

When it was junk, in place of STP I had Abrupt Decay, which made the total number of spells that got hit by Chalice 8

4 Chalice and 8 1CC spells sounds like a winning plan. Oh well you could set it at 2 ... oh that's the rest of your deck. Maybe 3 ... oh that's your win condition. Well you wreck Kobolds, so that's something.

So I kinda have to go junk?

As stated in the previous posts Chalice of the Void and 1 CMC spells don't mix well.

To work in the spirit of what you are trying to do I would recommend dropping Life from the Loam for Crucible of Worlds.

Drop Chalice of the Void for a full set of Sphere of Resistance & possibly Phyrexian Metamorph (more spheres, more Knights, no problem) [I'd say go Thorn of Amethyst, and Phyrexian Metamorph, but Elves and Alluren are decks]

This way your low casting cost cards are advantaged, and not a liablity to Chalice of the Void. ...and Wasteland and Ghost Quarter become real threats really quick. Consider Leonin Arbiter or Aven Mindcensor as well.

Also you could potentially have a Green Sun's Zenith package like Gaddock Teeg, or Scavenging Ooze for other troublesome match ups post board or to help you your primary wincon Knight of the Reliquary.

Just some thoughts.

Armageddon might be worth trying x1-2.
