Non-KMC Perfect fits with KMC hyper mats?

Has anyone tried using other brand perfect fits with KMC hyper mats? How well do they fit? Asking because KMC perfect fits seem to have dipped a bit in quality and have trouble staying snug in the sleeve. Also a random OCD of mine but cards sleeved with KMC hypers/perfects feel a bit thicker and heavier than my personal liking and I've been told some brands like Dragon Shield have thinner perfect fits.

Been buying ultra pro inners for 2 years now. They've recently upped their game, the sleeves used to be too tight and the card would bend. But for the last year or so they've been perfect, I like them as much as kmc inners now. The sleeve is still slightly longer than kmc's though, but other than that they've been wonderful. I also have some unopened legion defenders sitting around the house, I don't know if those are any good. Maybe try those.

I've bought kmcs/dragonshields/ultra pro's for a while now and every batch seems a bit different. If you buy same brand sleeves a year apart you notice slight variations.

edit: the legion defenders are really nice. perfect length too
