The main "theme" is to cast instant/sorcery spells for fun and profit. Many of the spells give you straight value, and running them back later on with Kess just adds on to that. There's a bit of a token generation sub-theme, and a couple synergies with casting stuff from your graveyard, too.
I skimped a little on cheaper counters since they don't do much with Kess, and honestly getting something countered in this deck isn't really the end of the world. I've still got a handful of counters for stopping random finishers, though.
Fun things the deck has done:
- Cast 5 Cruel Ultimatums in one game.
- Killed someone via Vial Smasher damage with a Blasphemous Act on the stack.
