I'm interested in the interaction of Sylvan Library & Words of Worship

i'd like to know if it's possible to:


Pay mana to put replacement draw effect on the stack for Words of Worship X2
Replace 1st draw trigger in the draw step - Gain 5 Life
Choose to activate Sylvan Library
Replace the 1st Sylvan Library activation - Gain 5 Life (Net +10)
Draw the second Sylvan Library card
Choose the keep the 2nd Sylvan Library card & Pay 4 Life (Net +6 life, 5+5-4)


Therefore, in the end for 2 mana I could net gain 6 life & draw a card.

Should be able to, sounds similar to abundance with draw replacement effect.

Additionally, 1 activation should lead to:

Gain 5, then lose 8 = draw 2 cards that turn for 3 life (which is still better than 4 life, although you don't get to choose from the top 3)


Would also like to see that confirmed by someone with rules knowledge :D

6/8/2016 If you choose to draw two cards, then replace one or more of those draws with some other effect, the rest of Sylvan Library’s ability still happens. If you’ve actually drawn only one card that turn, you must choose that card and either pay 4 life or put it on top of your library. If you haven’t actually drawn any cards that turn, the rest of the ability has no effect.

So yes, gain 10, pay 4. Alternatively spend 1 turn to gain 15, then draw 6 over the next two turns and lose 1 life overall.

Yes, with (2) Sylvan Librarys and (1) Words of Wilding you can:

• Pay 5 mana skip 5 draws, draw 0 pay 0 life make 5 dudes
• Pay 4 mana skip 4 draws, draw 1 pay 4 life make 4 dudes
• Pay 3 mana skip 3 draws, draw 2 pay 8 life make 3 dudes
• Pay 2 mana skip 2 draws, draw 2 pay 8 life make 2 dudes
• Pay 1 mana skip 1 draws, draw 2 pay 8 life make 1 dudes
• Pay 1 mana skip 1 draws, draw 1 pay 4 life make 1 dudes
• Pay 0 mana skip 0 draws, draw 1 pay 0 life make 0 dudes

And as for the original post with Words of Worship and (2) Sylvan Librarys you can:

• Pay 5 mana skip 5 draws, draw 0 pay 0 life, Gain 25 life – Net +25 Life
• Pay 4 mana skip 4 draws, draw 1 pay 4 life, Gain 20 life – Net +16 Life
• Pay 3 mana skip 3 draws, draw 2 pay 8 life, Gain 15 life – Net +7 Life
• Pay 2 mana skip 2 draws, draw 3 pay 12 life, Gain 10 life – Net -2 Life
• Pay 1 mana skip 1 draws, draw 4 pay 16 life, Gain 5 life – Net -11 Life

There are more iterations, but you get the idea.
