I've been seeing this running joke for a while on here, and occasionally elsewhere on the net, but can't seem to find a proper explanation for it.
I know nedleeds is, or at least was a poster here, and the joke seems to reference the old Kevin Mitnick thing, but aside from those facts, I can't seem to suss it out.

What am I missing here?

He got banned by site admin for being an obnoxious troll in some of his posts, I believe mostly in the B&R thread, but I'm not 100% sure.

It's not oldschool enough for me, though. We need to #freeCaviusTheGreat

EDIT: Or the guys from the UW Tempo thread.

He was an A+ talent on The Source. Blessed with both unlimited opinions and stamina, he could entertain for days. He played his game well, something those that have come after don't seem to possess. So now the B&R thread has lost a bit of it's color, it much easier to ignore, no great force egging you on, baiting you into another dumb circular argument that's been hashed out a hundred times already.
He and I got into a fight over the Reserve List, and now I miss him.

Yeah dude was an actual good magic card player, so that is always a loss for a wasteland like this place. And the moderators are lame, in general. Most of this entire message board is just people mentally masterbating. At least one person was trying to fuck...

Can confirm that nedleeds is still a good magic player with beautiful foreign signed decks.

I'll wager that he had the longest Ignore List on the site, which is totally warranted since there are a lot of bad ideas on this site.

The guy also wrote a pretty amusing tournament report while playing White Stax where the majority of his opponents didn't know what suppression field did.

Anyone have a link handy? I am having trouble finding it.

The truth is that he was a Gen X aged troll whose best days were behind him, and got triggered by actual trolls. With some goading, he got bretty mad, and let his emotions push himself past the bannable boundary. Towards the end, people were put on ignore en masse. Hard to be a troll if you consistently take your ball and go home.

In all honesty, he was an upstanding contributor to the forum and didn't afraid of nuthin' when it came to truthitudes involving the development and growth of the Type 1.5 community.

I thought he was the guy who collected Antiquities (for academic purposes) and threw a nazi out of a zeppelin.
