Wizards, where are all the cute magic cards?

My wife will only play magic if the cards have cute art on them. She wanted me to build her a deck filled with cute animals.

Over 100,000 cards and Ive found a grand total of two that have cute art.

Might of Oaks from Urzas.

Come on Wizards, you're missing out on a major demographic here!

That's hilarious. My wife said the same. I was optimistic about a Squirrel tribal deck and then she said they are not cute but aggressive, because they have red eyes. :rolleyes:

We definitively need more cuteness, if want more women to play the game.

Finally. Thank you. Exactly the kind of art we need a lot more of if we want more women MTG players. But is it too much to ask that you guys also make the cute cards atleast somewhat playable?

Any reason that it couldn't have cost 1G, or instead been a 2/1 uncommon that makes a 3/3 wolf mom token? Art this cute deserves to see play. And 0/1 doesn't exactly sound Ferocious. A 0/1 is basically only useful as a chump blocker. And you guys are sick monsters if you think that's all that wolf cubs are useful for!

Couldn't you guys have used this art for Nightpack Ambusher so that it would have wound up on a competitive card atleast?

Its a shame we dont have more cute cards though, enough to make a cute squirell deck or something

Cub needs to be a creature type. So we can build a deck consisting entirely of deck bear cubs, tiger cubs, panda cubs etc

Many of the cards posted here are only cute in an ugly, hideous sort of way.

We need a Panda tribal deck stat Wizards. That would be supremely popular, I assure you.

Or atleast draw squirrels more like on Urzas Might of Oaks and less like on chatter of the squirrels or hermit druid. What a wasted opportunity that was.

I think this card would be better if it broke templating and was worded so the other creature was figuring out instead of it fighting Target creature. Now it sounds less friendly: (

The cat is very cute. Wizards seems to be listening.

Nothing beats the cuteness of squirrels, pandas, polar bear cubs, and similar cute critters (pikachu, kirby, minions etc).

Wizards really needs to make squirrel tribal, rabbit tribal, cub tribal or panda tribal a thing if they want to broaden the games appeal. Hey it worked for WoW.

Everything has a home and can be balanced in some format. I'd consider putting this in a $20 Bant-Blink EDH deck. Also has some synergy if you are planning on sacrificing the cub and keeping the mama wolf, but that's sad.

"Intentionally bad EDH" can be fun, goal is to win with a deck that has as many terrible cards as possible. Take around 10-20 Bird Maidens, Pearled Unicorns, Merfolk of the Pearl Tridents, whatever terrible nostalgic value cards you feel like playing with, and then try to build something functional with the rest.

Interestingly, I'm just now seeing this thread, but have been writing pretty much this same message in every set review since Kaledesh. This is actually one of the reasons I don't play black. The abilities are cool, but I don't want to spend hours on end looking at artwork like Inquisition of Kozilek.

Could be worse. Ad Nauseam is truly disturbing as art goes. Damien Hirst would be proud.
