It's this weekend? Fuck I am totally out of the loop. How's the production quality of the vids? Who's on commentary? How much Legacy are we actually seeing?

It's going on right now and production quality is the same as every PT so good. Seems like we switch between matches on every round so depends how the rounds go. Commentary is atm Riley Knight and Paul Cheon.
Eldrazi mirror going on right now.

Way too much downtime between rounds for my taste. And the whole "stop your games, so we can show one team-match at a time" is pretty stupid, Imho. I just wanted to see Kai fucking Budde deliver the beatdown on Jesus.

Yeah worse than it first looked.. Well hope the data is interesting since they said they will release all the decklists.

Feels like they show quite a bit of legacy. Production was pretty good!

Well, they did invite several Hearthstone players to the Silver Showcase over actual MtG legends. How they think they can lure in HS players by drafting old-ass shit is beyond me.

It's likely twitch gets their own ad spots. If not it's a pretty poor ad serving service. (prob Google)

This is by far the worst PT stream I can remember - the amount of non-match stuff compared to actual gameplay is ridiculous.

It's a team thing so the placings aren't entirely based on Legacy results, but the four Legacy decks in the top 4 (https://magic.wizards.com/en/events/coverage/pt25a/tournament-results) are U/B Death's Shadow, Death & Taxes X2, and Eldrazi.

How they think they can lure in HS players by drafting old-ass shit is beyond me.Yeah, that's the really weird part. Want to try to win over Hearthstone players by having some notable Hearthstone streamers take part in an event? Not a bad idea. But to do that with booster packs from the earliest Magic sets? First, those are terrible draft environments (people only really care about watching it because of the novelty and the possibility of opening big money). Second, even if someone does look at it and think it looks cool, they can't actually engage in those environments so it's basically advertising a non-existent product.

Also, Nexus of Fate is apparently a real problem, being one of the stupidest exclusive cards ever printed. It's spiked to over $40 at the moment.
Thanks, Wizards!
