What would be the best protean hulk combo today?

I’d say ramp 6 green mana and Cabal Therapy it away. Overall with Cavern of Soul around you can be sure it logs in at least just to sacrifice it

Can be a good finisher in Elves in case of Ensnaring Bridge, but that’s way too many slots there.

Also, Pattern of Rebirth is much easier to cast and cheats in an Emrakul/Griselbrand.. not sure you’re interested in Hulk
