A handful more cards have been spoiled like Jace TMS and Magus of the Abyss. Doesn't look too exciting for Legacy just yet.

Don't know if anyone is keeping up with the spoilers, but there is a metric shit-ton of value in this set. The real question: what will the market price for sealed product be? I could see this set being a fairly safe investment, easily making your money back, but that depends on the shift that happens due to reprints. Not sure where pack prices will be, but I'm guessing around $12 each, bxes maybe around $250-300

Lots of good moves made: Force of Will, Sword of Fire and Ice, Chrome Mox, Sneak Attack, and Walking Balista are all welcome reprints for the legacy community.

Seeing that there will "be no more" Masters sets this may not impact Legacy so much, but I paused buying foil Spirits of the Labyrinth that I don't really need because I thought there may be a prettier reprint in the future.

Well, yes, but for most people the ability to show off is a significant for pimping.
If it gives you what ever form of pleasure, you're free to do whatever you want.

For the case at hand, it depends on if you like the newer art styles and the frames/treatment of the cards.
Maybe it's nostalgia, but I severely dislike most of these versions.
I personally would consider buying the new alt FoW because of the artwork but mostly because of the flavor text.
However currently the prices are to high.

If you look at least at the alt versions in e.g. Eldraine, they are barely more expensive than the regular one.
I would wait until the first run is done.
It also depends on the print run though which I don't know.
The last few masters sets have been printed to oblivion though.
I also don't believe for a minute that this is the last masters set.
Maybe it will be called something else for the hell of it.

I could see doing it if you could get a high enough portion of the deck in borderless or showcase or whatever whatever.

But no, not personally. If they were making a Masters set to appeal to me, it'd be new cards with old borders and frame-only foils with a shooting star.

To me pimp means more scarcity/ obscurity, print to demand pimp sort of defeats the purpose imo, even with artificial scarcity via absurd pricing. Plus I don't agree with their philosophy of maintaining high staple prices to push premium product.
