I'm kind of disappointed in seeing the Urza Planeswalker only because a cool fan theory in my circle of players was for the Brother's War story to play out how we'd expect until we reach the Sylex blast, and as the dust settles we're revealed to Mishra Planeswalker and it's a huge bait and switch that leads into some bizarro alternate history that then requires many sets to sort out and fix. Oh well.
Perpetual spoiler season here we go I guess.
I wouldn't be surprised if Urza is the only instance of meld because it doesn't fit the story unless it's artifacts being merged with dedicated powerstones.
Admittedly, it has been at least 10 years since I've read the Brother's War but from what I remember, this doesn't seem to fit Kayla's description.

Kayla's effect looks interesting, although having to wait a full turn for it to do anything and then eat the mana for that turn, too, is kinda iffy. In what deck would she realistically fit in? RW Painter?

That's some Star Wars special edition level.

As I said, it was at least 10 years ago so I was in my late teens, which might have contributed.
I have read the story until including the Odyssey after which I have lost interest.
Compared to the other books, I still though the Urza related stories were more interesting.

OK might have been a bit more then 10 years ago.
Forgot that I'm getting old and the past few years felt like a moment and an eternity at the same time.
I got really into MTG and started playing competitively around 2008-9 maybe and just wanted to read the story as the old ones seemed more interesting than the new ones without an arc.

Cheap, evasive and the combo of Menace + deathtouch generally leads to unfavorable trading. Sure, it needs other artifacts to take full advantage of its ability set, but with treasure/food tokens, it shouldn't be that hard in the right deck - or you just play Affinity instead.

Just one. "Attacks" means "is declared as an attacker during the Declare attackers step", this thing is directly put onto the battlefield attacking, so it doesn't count.

Do his abilities trigger when coming into play AND for attacking? Meaning when you meld this, it comes into play attacking... is that one trigger for its abilities or two?
His ability is actually pretty weird:
First the trigger condition is "when you attack" meaning, it doesn't have to include him. He just needs to see you declare at least one attacker The Normal Way.
Second the X part of the trigger isn't determined until resolution. So if you put tokens into play tapped and attacking, they will count.
Third the meld part, and this is where I'm actually unsure because I can't think of a singular trigger that's a partial intervening if, I think only cares at resolution if it's met. So yes you could put them into play tapped and attacking and trigger it because unlike a Valakut for example, this condition doesn't need to be true to trigger you might be able to get away with it.
E: Lol, i completely misunderstood your question: No. One trigger, because the meld side did not "attack".

Gix's Command
3BB
Sorcery
Choose two -
· Put two +1/+1 counters on up to one creature. It gains lifelink until end of turn.
· Destroy each creature with power 2 or less.
· Return up to two creature cards from your graveyard to your hand.
· Each opponent sacrifices a creature with highest power among creatures they control.
The red one might be nice in Ruby Storm but the rest seems meh.

I like the white command - getting a plains and a 2/2 with some added flexibility isn't too bad.

This card seems great against that rely heavily on a single card to win. I expect this to see heavy play in sideboards.
Can't wait to see a Welder deck completely dismantling an opponent's deck with it.

It's not even decks that rely on a single card.
Since it's repeatable you can pick out the major threats from decks that only run a few different ones.
Murktide -> Delver -> DRC
This punishes everything that doesn't have diverse threats.

Stompy decks being to able to get it online as early as T2 is also huge.
Edit: Nevermind, it exiles itself as part of the cost. So you would need Karn for looping it. Still nice in multiples, though.

After seeing the interaction between Power Conduit and The Restoration of Eiganjo/Urza's Saga in a new Modern deck today, I wonder if this new card allows the deck to reach critical mass. Aside from redunancy, the Plains fetching also allows to feed stage 2 of Restoration for more recursion. Keeping Saga around while being able to search for an artifact every turn is definitely nice. So the ideal sequence would be.
T1: Saga
T2: Scholar
T3: third Saga trigger, remove counter in response, grab Plains, grab artifact from Saga, play your Plains, create token with Saga
Rinse and repeat every turn while keep hitting your land drops.
For what it's worth, it can also eat (excess) Vial counters to turn them into Plains.

Being able to work with itself is huge, plus the casting cost is way easier.
Another potential line could be on T3:
Recruiter for Scholar, Vial it in @2, the proceed to feed it Vial counters starting at T4 (or T5 while using its own counter on T4 if you want to keep your Vial @3)
How good this is needs to be seen in playtesting since it does nothing on its own the turn it ETBs, but since the deck is already running Vials and Sagas anyway, it might have potential in Yorion D&T where you can actually use the mana. Besides, you can also run Currency Converter as a Saga target to turn the Plains into actual cards if you want to grind some more.

Metalcraft isn't just flavor text. Most Cloudpost lists would majorly struggle (i.e. almost never) to have it enabled. It would be a completely different deck if you run Tron. Tron also suffers because its more affected by Wasteland taking you off Tron.

I was intrigued too, but I suspect that the virtual ETB that Rabblemaster gets for producing a token on the turn that it hits the table is a pretty big difference in practice, and that this guy would have to do something more combo-ish with the second ability to be viable.
Arcane Proxy 7
Artifact Creature - Wizard
Prototype [1UU 2/1] (You may cast this spell with different mana cost, color, and size. It keeps its abilities and types.)
When Arcane Proxy enters the battlefield, if you cast it, exile target instant or sorcery card with mana value less than or equal to Arcane Proxy's power from your graveyard. Copy that card. You may cast the copy without paying its mana cost.
4/3
More expensive than snapcaster but can cast no mana spells like living end.
Clay Champion X4
Artifact Creature - Construct
Clay Champion enters the battlefield with three +1/+1 counters on it for each GG spent to cast it.
When Clay Champion enters the battlefield, choose up to two other target creatures you control. For each WW spent to cast Clay Champion, put a +1/+1 counter on each of them.
2/2
This is dumb but GGGG gets you a 8/8
