Hey this is Robert I'm the guy who started the Sliver thread on starcitygames. I have read the tread several times over and I was impressed by how many decklists I had to test to find the optimal one. The biggest problem was everyone had the "tech" against a certain deck and most of you were right against that deck you demolish them most of the time.

The problem was I needed a deck that could preform well against everything. Goblins turned out to be one of my better matches with about a 60% in my favor. Threshold is around 50-50. Storm combo is a hard fight for game one but after boarding in Meddling Mage it gets a lot easier. Angel Stompy and Fairie Stompy is generally a 60% in your favor but their equipment can get pretty harsh if you let it through. Affinity is close in game one on my experience. Game two should see you boarding in your Kataki and Naturalizes in place of your counter spells(you won't be needing them in games two and three).

A few things I would like to address from my playtesting.
1) Daze vs. Counterspell: both are great early game. but only one is a hard counter and I need hard counters for me to maintain superority on the board.

2) Aether Vial:frown:: here is a subject that a lot of people disagree on. Some say it is a great spell some say it has no place in the deck. In my experience Aether Vial is crucial to how my sliver deck is played. I play like a draw-go style deck. I just lay my land say go then cast spells on your turn and use Aether Vial to drop creatures into ply before my turn starts.

3) Worship, play/no play, how many copies: Worship is another subject that some people disagree on. I personally find that two copies in the main and maybe if you want one in the sideboard is enough. Although Worship is not an "I win" card but more of an "I win more" card it has come in handy during some games for me to keep it in until I can find no practical use for it.

4) Draw: Draw is what the deck is most flexible on. Running the gamut from Brainstorm and Serum Visions, to AK and Portant. The best draw spell by far for the deck is Brainstorm. Anything after that it is up to you. If you lean closer to the shuffle effects of fetch lands the Serum Visions is for you. If pure card drawing is your thing then AK, Portant, even Lat Nam's Legacy can show up in the deck. I prefer the shuffle effects that fetch lands have with Brainstorm and Serum Visions.

4 Crystalline Sliver
4 Muscle Sliver
4 Plated Sliver
2 Talon Sliver
3 Winged Sliver
4 Brainstorm
3 Counterspell
4 Force of Will
2 Serum Visions
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Worship
4 Aether Vial
4 Flooded Strand
2 Forest
3 Island
3 Plains
4 Tropical Island
4 Tundra

Sideboard
4 Kataki, War's Wage
4 Meddling Mage
3 Naturalize --- reduces the decks dependancy on white!
4 Tormod's Crypt

The sideboard is pretty easy to understand. Kataki and Naturalize for Affinity, Meddling Mage for combo decks, Tormod's Crypt for Threshold and other decks that rely on the graveyard.

This is the deck I have setteled on as of now. It is aggressive and has the control that I was going for when I began to build this deck on June 18 2006. It has changed to meet the current challange of beating several tier one and two legacy decks and I am pleased with the preformance.

Well, uh, thanks. Our list is already in the Open, though.

Well we didn't move this one, but there is a new one here (http://mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4404) that people can start posting on, if they like.
