Built specifically to combat Burning Long, though I somehow managed to dodge that deck all day despite the fact that it was 25% of the field. Oh well. Thanks. I'm usually pretty quiet around here, but I always enjoy your posts. Also, those are indeed the correct Mox Diamonds. This thread sometimes makes me feel like my impressive mtg collection (by any normal objective measure) is still inferior and lacking. I'm ashamed that I had to play that revised Volcanic next to the beta/unl ones.

I'm getting much closer to finishing my Vintage Dredge collection. I have been considering posting portions of it, but there are a few pesky cards that my half-assed efforts have been unable to track down so far. And then I remember that most people hate dredge anyway, let alone a "pimp" version, so I talk myself out of it.

We need more whole decks in this thread. Even though I personally don't like foils, Zakman's deck is sweet! I love me some pimp Enchantress!

I decided to make Dredge, but since I'm already doing something out of the ordinary (for me), decided to also do it Russian where possible.

Once in France a player was reading my Time Spiral and making a fuss about something so I was like "what's going on?" A friend of his, who spoke English, and who knew I was Turkish replied "Are your cards in Arabic, my friend can't understand what it does!" So I was like what an orientalist ignorant jack ass, first Turkish is nothing like Arabic we use the Latin alphabet and secondly there are no Arabic MtG cards nor Time Spirals, what an idiot. Turns out there are indeed cards in Arabic, quite surprised.

Dont get me wrong, but your deck looks more like a mix of cards than pimped, with jap foil, eng foil, normal jap, normal eng, judge rewards, fnms, revised, unlimited and altered^^

I'm basically trying to get it fully Foiled out, Japanese when i get the chance and things that can't be foiled Altered. In a few months i should have 2 Bayous, 4 Tropicals, 4 Seas, 1 Scrubland and 1 Savannah UNL altered, because i hate the text on revised :(
But yeah, right now it looks abit messy :P

EDIT: Alot of the foils dont show very well on the scan either, the only things that arent foil and can be foiled are Jap Catacomb, 1 Misty, 3 Jace and Ancestral Visions :)

The thing I love most about pimping is hunting for cards that are hard to get, I always end up selling every completed project fairly quick after I'm done!

I would LOVE to get a playset of Test COT's , Even more so, I once saw a foil Test Survival of the fittest that I think was the coolest card I ever saw with a silver border.

but in general yes i would love to know where to locate these rarities since they dont really show up on ebay.

A friend that posts here had a few of those Test prints before they made their way into the hands of collectors. They look really nice in person and my favourite out of all of the ones he had was Mana Breach.

I picked up on ebay. I have looked every day (sometimes multiple times a day) on ebay and other sites for the last year. Just happened to find it within 30 minutes of him listing the key. He has a second one up now. He raised the price and its in worse condition than mine. I think he jumped the price because this one sold so fast. :tongue:

That's why my decks are usually Chinese/Japanese/German/Russian.....Ancient Greek? If you can read some Japanese you should be able to nit-pick out some characters on Chinese cards. Strudelpuls would be hilarious indeed. "Mahlstrom" is really uncommon in German, so I am surprised that they use it in this context. But the translation of modern cards into German (meaning everything after urza's) is in general really bad. Maelstrom Pulse is an excellent example. "Puls" is almost always associated with your heart in German any only used as a short form of "Impuls", which sounds clunky and has no real meaning in conjunction with "Mahlstrom". Long story short: It is not called Strudelpuls, because the translation is horrible. As a nativ speaker, I tend to avoid German cards, with the exception of German duals (white bordered only) and Force of Wills.

Yes. That deck struggles with Stifle effects. Everytime I cast Trickbind in Legacy it's awesome. I'm going to brew something up with 4 x Trickbind and 4 x Plain old Bind.
