I just started playing legacy a few days ago and came up with this decklist from a few different ones I've seen.

Land
11x forest
2x pendlehaven
2x gaea's cradle
5x swamp
4x ancient tomb

creatures
4x llanowar elves
2x fyndhorn elves
3x deranged hermit
3x skyshroud poacher
4x masticore
2x elves of deep shadow
3x yavimaya elder

spells
3x umewaza's jitte
4x duress
4x cabal therapy
4x chalice of the void

sideboard
3x caller of the claw
3x pithing needle
3x compost
3x seal of primordium
3x engineered plague

OK i've switched the decklist around, although if I'm going to keep cabal therapy in, id like to fit yavimaya elder in somewhere, i love that guess, esp. with masticore. Any more thoughts would be great, not sure if I'm a fan of chalice, id most likely set it for two so maybe ill take it out for the jitte, but I'm still not sure, maybe its best in sideboard. Keep the comments coming.

Welcome to the Source!

It sounds like you know about the Trinity Green deck that made day two of the GP last weekend:
http://mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5827

As he did, you can run black for answers to combo to buy you time while you assemble an army of Squirrels and elves, and get Engineered Plague from the sideboard to help against Goblins. Cabal Therapy, especially, would be great in the deck, with plenty of creatures to sacrifice to flash it back. I would definitely run a third Jitte, as well, because if it is sitting in your hand dead because you already have one in play, you are probably winning already.

Cards worth considering:
Duress, Cabal Therapy, Mesmeric Fiend, Engineered Plague (Sideboard), more Jittes, Wasteland, Caller of the Claw

How has Rancor been working for you? It offers trample, but it does not seem like you have any big dumb creatures that need trample for evasion. Deranged Hermit has evasion built into the fact that his 9/9 status is spread over 5 warm bodies. I see the synergy with Smokestack, but I would be tempted to cut the Rancors for a third Jitte and three Cabal Therapies.

One of the Wirewood Heralds could become a Caller of the Claw, because he "dodges" mass removal. Suddenly, your 1/1 Llanowar Elves and Priests of Titania are 2/2 Bears, conveniently dodging Engineered Plague: Elves, and making Wrath make your army stronger instead of destroying it.

21 Land seems like a lot, but you are running Cradle and Port. You may be able to bring that number down a little, but you have to lead with a forest, so I may be wrong there.

Looks like fun, so good luck!

I think he wanted the synergy of smokestack and rancor but I also think it's not needed.

Yeah i was never sure about the smokestack so I'll prolly trade them and the rancors out...I've got a busy day today but I'll update my deck list tonight. BTW I'm not going to attempt to beat flash at all, if it doesn't get banned I'll just be very unhappy lol.

Chalice of the Void is amazing in Columbus Trinity Rock, and I think you should run it here. It probably means cutting Rancor, but in my opinion it's worth it.

Idk, it might just be when, but when I saw the trinity green deck the first thing I looked at was chalice of the void. I thought it was really weird since 12+ of the decks cards are 1cc. That seems like it would hurt you a ton. Taking out elves and duresses. Even if you cast it at 2cc, that seems to slow to combat flash and wouldn't hurt that many decks, I think 1cc would be much more devistating against the majority of decks. Personally, I think 3-sphere or sphere of resistance would be better in it's spot.

How is this deck working with 26 lands? I can see it getting flooded a lot. I would invest in 4 Ancient tombs (around 8-10 for a set on ebay) and drop 8 lands for the 4 Tombs and 4 Chalices. Being able to drop a turn 2 Chalice at 2 is huge against a lot of decks especially flash.
