Hey, I'm a new user and I saw a thread that discussed this idea a few days ago when I was browsing the forums. I really liked the idea of hybridizing Gifts and Doomsday so that you have up to 8 spells that win the game, as well as at least 4 cards that tutor for cards that win the game.

Lack of Yawgmoth's Will definitely weakens potential gifts piles, especially because you need to be able to combo out with either card. My first thought was Goblin Charbelcher, but that doesn't exactly work with Doomsday. My second thought was some storm combo, but that's hard to set up with Gifts Ungiven if you don't have Yawg Will. In the end, this is what I came up with:

=====Lands=====
3* Polluted Delta
3* Bloodstained Mire
4* City of Brass
2* Underground Sea
1* Island
1* Swamp
1* Gemstone Mine
=====Combo Pieces=====
1* Predict
1* Auriok Salvagers
1* Pyrite Spellbomb
1* Reanimate
1* Recoup
=====Accel=====
4* Chromatic Star
4* Lotus Petal
4* Lion's Eye Diamond
4* Dark Ritual
=====Disruption=====
4* Duress
4* Force of Will
=====Draw and Tutoring=====
4* Doomsday
3* Gifts Ungiven
3* Infernal Tutor
4* Brainstorm
3* Serum Visions

The deck works like this: You tutor up a gifts or a doomsday, you accelerate into it and make sure it resolves. From this point, you win. Seems simple, right?

Here's the doomsday stack:

Top
Predict
Salvagers
LED
Pyrite Spellbomb
Reanimate
Bottom

As you can see, you need a little mana to go off. You play Predict, name Salvagers, draw two cards. You then need to play LED and Spellbomb, then use the spellbomb's ability, and play reanimate. At this point you've used 2UB. If you have an unused LED left, or 1W, you win by recycling the LED for infinite mana then recycling the Spellbomb for infinite damage.

Similarly, the gifts pile looks like this:

Salvagers
Reanimate
Recoup
Chromatic Star/LED

In order to win with this gifts pile, you need to have either Chromatic Star or LED in play already, and you gifts for the other.

From here, you can win easily if they give you recoup and your artifact. You play recoup targeting reanimate, reanimate salvagers and win.

If you get Salvagers and any of your cards, you need to hardcast salvagers and then win.

There are innumerable ways to get from casting your doomsday or gifts to winning the game, and it's really fun to figure them out.

I'd appreciate some comments on the deck. I think that the idea is really cool and sound, but I don't have the expertise necessary to build a solid combo deck for legacy. Off the top of my head, I think it could really use a rainbow mana base (City of Brass, Gemstone Mine, etc) but I'm afraid of getting wrecked by Wastelands. I also think that there has to be a better gifts pile.

I'd appreciate some comments to help develop the list before I go on to testing it, but theoretically, you can race any deck that doesn't pack disruption. Any deck that DOES have disruption is going to be dependent on the player. If a player with counterspells knows what spells to counter, it's going to be bad. If they try to counter the wrong stuff, you can just set up again.

I don't really see the great advantage of running Gifts over Intuition here. Also a freind of mine has played doomsday a little and the big problem was always the opponent's turn after you've cast your Doomsday where your life total is very low. This made the deck loose to fast aggro and unless you deal with this somehow I don't think the deck's very strong. But don't get me wrong, the combo has potential.
