New Rochester Legacy Tournament on Saturday

Since Magic pretty much died at Millennium, I felt I should to try to set up an alternative.

When: Saturdays
Store opens at noon, tournament begins 12:30PM

Cost: $3

Prizes:
First-place player wins a dual. Choice of duals depends on number of entries. Minimum 8 players.
X-1 gets choice of beta basic land or a pack from my box.
Prizes increase with 17+ people (5 rounds).
Rounds based on attendance.

Sanctioned. Millennium's are not.

I will be running the entire thing - Boldo's is not involved beyond providing the space (and extra prizes, nice of him).

I'm receptive to suggestions.

Yeah screw running the tournaments at Millenium I didnt wanna do that anyway. If all the Rochester guys are gonna start doing this I guess im in.

Chuck, this sounds like an INCREDIBLE idea, however Saturday may be an issue for me and some others. Work is a bitch for me to get time off, and I am barely able to get my Sundays like I want as it is. If you changed the day to Sunday, but same time/place I would go EVERY week. I can also almost gurantee you that more people will show if it is Sunday. If it has to remain on Saturday, then I understand, but I would rarely be able to come then. :cry:

Unfortunately, Boldo's runs minis on Sunday, so there's no way Magic can be on Sunday. I didn't realize it would be an issue for so many people.

Damn, well I'm not sure exactly how many people will be affected, but I'm probably going to be able to go only once a month at most. @Cody and others, are you guys still gonna hit up Millenium on Sundays???

EDIT: Is there a way we could advertise this at Millenium without Ed Fear chopping our balls off?? I really want word of mouth to get around so we can make this thing successful. I can't go to Millenium this Sunday, but could someone who goes let everyone know whats up??

Do the top Rochester players play at Boldo's or Millennium?

I'm getting back into magic and am planning on going to a tournament this weekend and would like to know where the most players are showing up.
