I discovered a card today. In magic we discover old cards every now and then. Bubbling Muck (http://www.magiccards.info/autocard.php?card=Bubbling%20Muck). It's just a black sorcery High Tide.
So, with Underground Sea (http://www.magiccards.info/autocard.php?card=Underground%20Sea) and Watery Grave (http://www.magiccards.info/autocard.php?card=Watery%20Grave), you can get to tap a land for http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manau.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manau.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manau.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manau.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manau.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manab.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manab.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manab.gifhttp://forums.mtgsalvation.com/images/smilies/manab.gif. You are probably going to want Night's Whisper in there, so you don't have to always rely on blue draw spells, it also is an amazing set-up card.

What about Lim Dul's Vault?

What about Lim Dul's Vault?

What about Lim-Dul's Vault? I think they would prefer to draw more than one card with a spell, 1 for 1 doesn't seem so good.

So it's Spring Tide, that splashes black.......Dark Tide?

Seriously though, it looks decent. I would agree that Night's Whisper warrants at least some consideration.

As far as Lim-Dul's Vault, it is a pretty powerful tutor. It basically lets you pay some life to set up the top of your library so the actual draw spells you use will be wonderful. It might not fit, but once again it warrants at least a look at.

Also, what about the black Draw4's from SI? Have you tested those at all?

Nice Idea.

However, I do not like your drawing suite, especially Impulse. Only pros on having black in this deck is that you get to run 8 high tide, and you don't even have much black spells to abuse it. I like seeing tendrils in the deck, though. I'd like to see discard based protection, like 4 Duress, 4 Therapy, and 4 unmasks if you feel extreme.

LDV is a nice setup card, but It does absolutely nothing when you are going off. I'd like to see Sleight of Hand an Other 1cc Draw spells to smooth your curve, and might even run something like Infernal contract or Null profusion. The way I see it now, is that the deck needs more draws to smooth things out and gain more consistency.

Theres already two threads on this, the first was posted awhile back by Alfred. You may want to look these up, I worked on the deck for a month before I stopped. I will say 1 MD Skeletal Scrying was amazing.

Cool deck idea. I think Nights whisper is a good idea because your going to want to take advantage of all the black mana. You should also try Infernal tutor.

It's very interesting but although this build may add speed (1 turn) to solidarity it loses it's protection from wasteland, creature removal, and it's ability to go off at instant speed while controlling the stack. I will play some games with it though to see what it's like playing..

do you think cruel bargain and/or infernal contract would be good in the deck? 3 mana for 4 cards seems pretty powerful to me, and the half life that it cost shouldn't be much of a draw back because you should win that turn anyways. But maybe the :b::b::b: CC might be kind of steep

I suggest either upping the Cunning Wish count to three or having a less wish orientated side board. Do you really need Snap, Echoing Truth, Chain of Vapor, and Slaughter Pact? Trickbind and Stifle?

So it's Spring Tide, that splashes black.......Dark Tide?I like Bubbling Tide more, it better describes the combo. Dark Tide could just be High Tide with a black splash.

PS: I typed this on a friends PSP... /orgasmPSP's suck.

PSP's suck.

Maybe, but the fact that i could post on here with a psp is enough.

Looking at your list I would probably say that you should throw in 1 force of will in the SB for a decent wish target.

Also mystical tutor deserves a spot in this deck because you cast a turn or two before you go off and you have more/better combo pieces that you need.

Gl with the deck,

Honestly, it looks like there is a serious lack of draw in this deck.... I have played solidarity in a couple tournaments, and have fizzled twice (both in te same tournament).... solidarity runs much more draw than this, making it more consistant (albeit slower by a small % in their averages)...

I would suggest adding to the draw count of this deck.

The problem with this deck, after some testing, is that you have no use on the extra mana that you are able to produce. That gives me following suggestions:

1. Null profusions: You get enough mana to hardcast it and go broken on the same turn. It is still bit expensive, and can be a win more card in most cases.

2. Black Draw4s: The constraints on mana is a problem. Very good gas, but weak in general.

Another problem is that the deck is quite slow, considering it is totally open to wastelands.

There's a lot of suggestions. If I'd take all I'd make it 80 cards at least!
More draw, more protection, more wishes etc.

Please suggest deck lists, or suggest -x of this +y of that, but please explain why.

I've tested similar ideas and run into the same problem C.P. describes. While theoretically you can generate a great deal more mana, you really have very little to do with the Black mana generated, since so many of your spells are blue. If you want to attempt to fix this, Night's Whisper seems like a good place to start.

But, it basically seems torn down the middle. Solidarity has better resiliency than this, and arguably just as much speed past turn three due to Reset. And it's ability to function at instant speed makes it much more powerful against control. Conversely, other Tendrils/EtW decks can go off much faster, on turn 1 or 2. You have to ask yourself what advantage you're trying to gain here.

For reference, this is not a new idea (http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=823). Maybe this other thread will give you some ideas.

When I made this deck, I got around the color problem by powering my Candelabras with the black, and saving the blue for spells. It worked.

For some reason your deck is not abusing Merchant Scroll. For reference scroll gets:

Force of Will (protection)
Turnabout (untap)
Meditate (draw)
High Tide (ritual)

Goblins can't race it and it can beat Threshold, granted that list isn't optimal, but the advantage rests in being a Turn 3 combo deck that has Force of Will, Duress, Cunning Wish and Merchant Scroll to play thru' damn near anything and never committing yourself to Lion's Eye Diamond + counter = Mind Twist or Empty the Warrens + removal = Mind Twist. It's a really safe and resilient deck that is faster than Solidarity, more consistent than Solidarity and has a better aggro-control match up.

I've never had a problem with being able to use the black mana, it's just there to pay for all of the colorless costs in your spells. I wouldn't even bother with Tendrils of Agony. All adding Bubbling Muck does is make the deck a more redundant Spring Tide, Duress is just a bonus.

tendrils is easier but if you go for blue you can glimpse ^.^
