So I am writing this report mainly because I have nothing to do, but also because someone told me I should. Let me start by saying this tournament was awesome, I am obviously biased, but I still think it was a success. I need to give mad props to everyone who showed up. Also Allen for being awesome, letting people crash and party at his place. So lets get on with the report then. Sorry for the misspellings and I don't remember everything properly.

I decided to roll with Landstill because I knew it well, thought there would be a fair amount of thresh, fast combo and goblins, which Landstill can deal with. My list was a bit different, with some fun stuff, I don't feel like retyping it. So on with the report.

Round 1- Matt Abold ( BigBear) playing EPIC Landstill

Game 1- I don't want to get into the mirror, but basically Matt makes a mistake by playing a playing a standstill with an explosives for 0 on his side of the board, and a factory on mine. After he blows the explosives he realizes that explosives does not hit lands. I get in for about 10, and then he does has to break his own standstill...it turns out bad for him. He also has to decree, but can't go on the offense because I have 3 factories oubt by now. Eventually I cast Decree of Justice for the win.

Game 2- We run out of time...landstill mirror Obv.

Record 1-0
Round 2- Kyle Miller playing Almost Manaless Ichorid

Game 1- I force of will his T1 LED. Then not much happens, he eventually combos off through my face.
SB- -4 Standstill -4 Wrath of God -4 Counterspell +4 Meddling Mage +4 Engineered plague +1 Haunting Echos +3 Engineered Explosives

Game 2- I delayed him with some counter magic. Then I played an Engineered plague naming Zombies. Then I Swords his ichorid during the upkeep. I quickly dropped a humility later, and another engineered plague naming horror. He proceeded to scoop after that.

Game 3- He starts out by therapying me naming humilit, and hits. I play a land and pass. Nothing happens for a couple turns, but I think he gets dredging going soon. I drop a mage naming dred return, and a explosives on zombie. He starts generating zombies and other things. I drop another mage naming Therapy. Once he gets to only 3 cards left in his deck, with all the dredging. I eventually live so I can drop another plague and humility, which forces a scoop.

Record 2-0
Round 3-Brian Degulia playing Suicide Black splash White.

Game 1- Long story short...he gets beat by a redundancy of removal. He doesn't disrupt me that much either. I think I remember playing around wasteland/sinkhole. And dropping crucible eventually. Manlands beat in for the win.

SB -1 Haunting Echo's +1 Pulse of the fields

Game 2- He Hymns me 3 times, but one of them breaks a standstill. Even so he drops chains of Mehposiphles and Bob, which I proceed to engineered explosives away the following turn. Eventually Doj tokens come in for the win.

Record 3-0
Round 4-Scott Shuerer( Overlord95) UWG Landstill
Game 1- I Brainstorm and miss, so I get stuck on 2 lands with double crucible and no counters. It becomes Bad news Bears fast. I eventually get some stuff going, but both crucibles and a haunting Echo's that happens many turns later gets countered. He finds 2 decrees to my one, I can;t comepete and eventually die.

SB – 3 Wrath of god -4 Standstill +1 Haunting Echo's +3 Pulse of the fields +3 Engineered explosives

Game 2- Basically I screw up with humilityat one point allowing my factory to die. But don't worry he can't get much damage through pulse. He starts manaburning to push though it. Eventually what happens is we go to time obv and I loose the match.
Record 3-1

Round 5-Matt Elgin (Spatuala of the Ages) Enchantress
Game 1- I remember him mulliganing to 5 which was good for me. He played an early sacred mesa, and got to work with Peguses. I didn't think it was a problem for me because I had vindicates. Eventually I think either he lets it die, or I vindicate it. But I counter a bunch of stuff and then I win through resolvinga haunting Echo's.

SB-4 Swords to Plowshares -3 Wrath of God +4 Meddling mage +3 Engineered Explosives

Game 2 He gets an early enchantress forced. I then play a meddling mage naming enchantress presence. Not much happens for a couple turns and he then plays a choke which goes through. I have 3 untapped lands at this point. I eventually get up the mana and drop an explosives for 3 and blow it up. I remember winning through meddling mage a few turns later.
Record 4-1

Unfortounetly for me I get parred against Matt (OutsideAngel) who is 3-1-1 so we have to play it out...bad news for me.

Round 6-Matt (OutsideAngel) Ichorid

Game 1- He chooses to draw. And answers my T1 land with a discarding of gravetroll. We play on with him dredging and me playing my guys, but he can't seem to get anything going, he doesn't hit bridges much, he can't seem to find any narcoamebas. Finally I am able to beat him down with factory enough times. I eventually play wasteland, which gives me the ability to shut down his bridges. I eventually end up getting soldiers for the win.

SB- 4 Wrath -4 Standstill -4 Counterspell +4 Meddling Mage +4 Engineered plague +1 Haunting Echos +3 Engineered Explosives

Game 2- I get Steamrolled. He plays a bunch of guys and I loose to a million zombies. Also he has chalice at 0 so i can't play EE.

Game 3- I force a early LED to buy me time. He gets some zombies going. I drop a stall him though with a swords on his Ichorid. I then proceed to drop a humility. The game continues for a bit, but we run out of time. Since he can't kill me nor I him, Matt gives me the win, since a draw will keep me in top 8, while knock him out.
Record 5-1

Top 8 match Bryant Cook (WastedLife)- TES

Game 1- I mulligan to 5, and keep a hand with a force + fof. I get some thing going, but he makes me force a darkritual to stop him from going off. I then loose soon to his combo.

SB- 4 Wrath of God -2 Humility -4 Swords to Plowshares +3 Engineered Explosives +4 Meddling Mage +3 Pulse of the Fields

Game 2- I mull to 6. I force his early something with pitching a fof. I drop a meddling mage naming burning wish, and then another on infernal tutor. He hard casts some simian spirit guides for the beat down. Eventually I think i hard cast force on something he plays and I cast DOJ for 1 angel to get me there

Game 3- I mull to 5. he plays a land and passes. I do the same. He casts orim's chant on my next turn. After much thought, I let it resolve. Turns out he was bluffing and passes the turn. I then play some stuff, I think a a fof. I drop 2 mages on t4 naming B-wish and Infernal tutor. He plays a reb on his turn for my mage, which I force, but he plays another reb. I soon loose to his going off.

I hope everyone had fun, it seemed like a good time for all.

Grats again zohar. As for not playing explosives cause of chalice for zero, you can tap a land use colorless mana for explosives and play it with zero counters on it.

But you can't pay colorless when you only have duals or basics. You need either Factory, Monastery, Wasteland or Academy Ruins.
Anyway grats on your finish. It seems like Landstill is here to stay.

Congratulations on the finish Zohar, nice job. I guess Landstill is still a very good deck as I saw quite a bit of it this past weekend with 2 of them making the top 8.

It was nice to see everyone this weekend, keep up the good work for everyone that makes these tournaments possible.
