Online Tourney on Saturday morning.

I like the Source tournies, they're a lot of fun and they give us a chance to showcase decks and innovations, but the month long grind can be kind of wearing. So, I'd like to propose a tournament on Saturday morning, starting at say 9AM CST, where we just sit down and do rounds until we've got ourselves a winner. Entrants would of course need IRC, since I don't feel like coordinating a real-time tournament through PMs or AIM messages, and MWS, since MWS is more widely used than any of the other MtG programs. It's not required, since anyone that's in the IRC channel on Saturday(I'll post the channel here later) can play, but if you think you'd like to do something like this, feel free to drop a post with any suggestions, ideas, whatever.

yes, GMT-6, #mtgthesource sounds fine. Reporter would be nice, but I imagine as long as it's relatively small(and I think being a one-shot deal, it probably will be), it won't be too hard to do pairings on scratch paper. Mostly, I just want an opportunity to play 1.5, and since I work second shift and can't make any tournaments, this is the only way I get to do it, unless I wanna go running through random MWS games, and who wants that?

Well, that wouldn't really work too well for me, my girlfriend is already irritated that I asked to have my balls back for the morning, if I need them for the afternoon too, she might just hide them somewhere I can't find them.

Hrm, I totally forgot about this otherwise I wouldn't have stayed up til 4:30 that way I could have tried to make this. Alas, the LAN gamage was indeed more entertaining than sleep, so maybe next time, if there is one.

It'd be really cool if this became a regular Saturday thing, although it wasn't too competative it was an enjoyable time nontheless.

It will get more competitive as it goes on. I think weekly is fine, I had originally intended every other week, but hey, I'm flexible. So, let's go ahead and plan for same thing, same time, this coming Saturday.
