of Goblins. I'm so proud of myself, I absolutely demolished the deck, nothing remains. Tarmogoyfs pillaged all the Goblin cards. Only 2 cards left to sell. I figured The Source guys would be interested since they are foreign goodness after all. I got 2 Korean Goblin Lackeys, here's the link.

I too know the joy of getting rid of my goblins deck. I sold off everyting out of it cept the lands and vials pretty much, and got $150 that ive been trying to use torwards duals.

I hope I never play another lackey again...

Thanks, it feels pretty good. The deck was only used to test against so it wasn't really worth it. Hopefully I'll pick up a few Nickels for em.

Whats wrong with Goblins?

Tarmogoyf is what's wrong with goblins. It's also what's wrong with a lot of other things.

The lack of playskill needed for the deck. I don't want to be on autopilot most of the time. It lost its lust for me. I need to pimp my Funkbrew even more though. That's the real reason ;).

They're ugly. They smell bad. And they're downright stupid.

And they suck at the current meta too, with all the Pyroclasm bearing Tarmogoyfs running around.

I did the same thing. Pretty much sold it to finish off TES and got some new goodies for Rabid Wombat, my pet deck. I also had 50 bucks left over and I am currently buying some random stuff like Chain of lightnings, Ancient tombs and just scouring ebay for some good deals. I love the decision I made.

You have obviously not played Goblins against bad match ups..

yeah. Goblins can be easy to play. That goes straight out the window when you have to deal with Wrath, Humility, and CoP:red all in the same deck. not to mention the asston of other cheap and effective hate cards.

lol... always remember the hell of dealing with multiple cheap threats after a Pyroclasm.... that way, you learn.

I have played the difficult matchups but saying Goblins needs a lot of playskill is a lie. I want to have control with how the game goes and not what other cards are in other peolples decks. Just didn't suit me I guess.

I remember when I went to this 16 player tournament in washington state I used my underdeveloped goblins deck it was sorta close to red goblins though in legacy.. I remember that I almost beat enchantress(this was round 1 of the tournament) but he put out coffinement pretty quick then he put out a worship on the next turn and I couldn't draw my anarchies when i boarded them in there. So I got owned by enchantress since I couldn't do anything about his white enchantments. Then I played with my mono green deck(no it wasn't 9-land stompy) in the next tournament which had about 18 players and got 3rd place with that. I remember when I lost to UG madness too before the cut to the top 4 but I did beat this subpar UW landstill deck though.

Aww, you sold it right when they printed a new Goblin King? Sad.

The goblin king is not going to make goblins competetive. They have to make a 2cc goblin that hurts combo or its not going to help.

True. It'll happen though. Wizards doesn't seem to want to let Goblins die.

Well a tribal set has got to have goblins, so I doubt they will keep producing them after. I don't think any are all that great. The goblin king may have merit.

I would like to Orcs and Dwarves go at it again in a tribal set. When Orcs is Tier 1 I'll quit Magic altogether :p.

That are a quintessential part of Magic. One day the will print Pyrostatic Goblin and combo players across the planet will weep their insignificant eyes out.

Edit: SOMEONE PLEASE SUBMIT THAT AS THEIR INVITATIONAL CARD!

1R Pyrostatic Goblin

Creature - Goblin

Whenever a player plays a spell with converted mana cost 3 or less, Pyrostatic Pillar deals 2 damage to that player.

1/1.

I'd play Vial Goblins again if we had that baby.

Let me make this clear to all of you.

If you think Vial Goblins doesn't require a ton of playskill to pilot correctly, then you don't have the playskill needed to pilot it correctly.

Goblins made a reputation, incorrectly, of not needing playskill to win in early Legacy because it was so powerful at the time it could run over decks with a horde of mistakes.

But now more than ever, Goblins can kill you with a mistake. Whether to open with Lackey or Vial, whether to Vial something out with the Vial trigger on the stack, whether to drop a Piledriver or Port a land, which land to Port, whether to tap that Wasteland you just drew for Ringleader or try to keep them off mana, whether to save Gempalm for a threat or cycle aggressively into what you need, how far to extend into decks that could be packing Pyroclasm, or whatever the case may be, one mistake can kill you and proper play can reward you with multiple wins in games you had no business winning.
