I posted this deck a while ago and it is a POWERFUL deck. Before you comment and say no to it please try it on MWS at least. This deck is an agro controle deck that has answers to most problems.

Creatures
4x serendib effrit
4x spiketail hatching
4x river boa
4x grim lavamancer

Controle
4x Force of will
4x daze
4x Stifle

Draw
4x Brainstorm
4x curiosity

Utility
4x Fire/Ice / sword of fire and ice / Jitte

Land
4x Tropical Island
4x Volcanic Island
4x Polluted Delta
4x Flooded Strand
4x Wasteland

Card Discussion
Controle

Force of will: is obvious, with the large amount of blue cards you have more than enough for chucking.

Daze: is a great early game counter and can be good in a pinch mid game.

Stife: A card that is amazing in any deck, Many times i used it to stifle an opponents fetchland, stifle a lacky, stifle a wasteland ect.., and can be great for combo. You stifle Karmic guid breakfast fails.

Spiketail Hatchling: a 1/1 Flying that counts as a constant counter threat.

Draw
Brainstorm: GREAT cynergy with fetchland, and this deck having 8 means you can shuffle unwanted cards for a fresh draw.

Utility
Fire/ice: It burns, It taps and draws, It sorts your mail, you get the point, you have options!

Creatures
Serendib Efrit: A 3/4 flying blue creature, sure it does 1 damage to you each upkeep BUT you are doing 3 damage to them, i say a good trade. It is also does not die to a random lightning bolt.

River Boa: One of my personal favorite! a 2/1 regenerating blocker. Island walk, with the meta today island walk is great.

Grim Lavamansor: a 1/1 for R that can tap to do 2 damage to creature or player. With the amount of cards you will have in your graveyard you will be able to abuse lavamansor till your hearts content.

I have not been able to test this deck recently and i know it may be able to be improved on. All i would ask is you try it out as is first before you make your suggestions on changes. When it was played, its matchup was great agains ALL deacks.

Thank you

Yesterday's metagame called. They want their deck back.

Seriously tho, I have a hard time seeing this being competive. Also, I can't spot any real reasons to play this over thresh. Can you please enlightnened me about this?

All your creatures seems kinda squishy and your spot removal seems very sparse compared to what your threats are supposed not to be beating. Also, maybe its just me but, curiosity?

Long story short, this thread needs more goyf.

4 Tropical Islands
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Force of Will
48 Random

Start working.

I posted this deck a while ago and it was a POWERFUL deck.
Fixed

No offense, but your deck is totally outdated. It seems that you have never heard about the arrival of Tarmogofy, the probably most efficient creature of all time.

And I to agree with Mordenkain: How is this deck in any way better than Red Threshold?

Ok well first off, no one can say you should play a deck over another, a deck is played by a person according to thier personal prefrence. I played them all and i still do not have a prefrence!

*edit* I preffer the 2 decks i had most fun with but almost never ever win, Welder stacks and Welder survival. They are a BLAST to play

Goblins:
This deck has 1cc answers to lacky wich is thier powerhouse, lavamansor and stifle can slow them down enough to take controle. Lavamasor kills most if not all thier goblins.

Thresh:
You have counters and draw. Effrit w/equipment vs goyf, River boa vs any non flying creature, River boa w/equipment (island walk) vs life total. This deck will not run over thresh but can and has held its own. Effrit wich is always questioned is a 3/4 flyer and is never a bad draw, since its blue can still be chucked early on to FoW in the counter battle.

Landstill:
With all your 1cc and 2cc answers you usualy have enough on the board to stop them from wanting standstill played, you have stifle to stop wasteland, you have lavamansor to kill factory. This deck was build in the time of landstill and won 8 out of 10 times.

As i said its an older deck that worked wonders and can be improved, i have been away from magic for a little over a year so just learned about goyf ect..

One thing i want remembered is what the first paragraph of the first thresh deck post said. " You may ask what i am doing with a deck that has serum vissions and wear bear and predict, but they work great together" not i ask that you try this deck out on MWS or proxy them and see how they work well together. This deck may look like it was random cards BUT they work well and compliment eachother.

Don't get me wrong. This deck was good, but recent new cards (mostly Goyf, but also counterbalance + top combo) have made this deck strictly inferior to threshold. I have tried making a deck somewhat like this before, and believe me, it didn't work.

If you want more info, here is the main problems I see:

Chalice of the Void - This card wrecks you big time. You have a low curve, which chalice happens to like.

Tarmogoyf - The problem with not running goyf and facing him on the other side of the board is that he will outclass most of your threats easily, sometimes even when they equipment to boost.

Engineered Explosives - This card is becoming increasingly played because of cards like Emthy the Warrens and Tarmogoyf. This card also happens to kill your threats very easily.

Lets analyse the deck vs. thresh a bit more. You run 12 "counters", 4 of being stifle which won't help in a counterwar. Furthermore, 4 of your counters are daze, a counter that becomes worse and worse as the game progresses. So, at the end of the day, thresh happens to have 8-12 counters as well. Difference being that they player Counterbalance among those counters. And they got 10+ cantrips to find their counters, plus the Top. And even if you manage to counter a goyf or something, they have more and better and stronger threats than you.

Sorry to say, but unless you have a revolutionary plan for this deck, im seeing it coming back to our meta.
