Here's a little combo that I came up with that abuses Grinning Ignus, Ruby Medallion, Nightscape Familiar, and red X-spells. Here's the list followed by an explanation and quick walkthrough.
Ignant X-Spell.DEC
Lands:24
4 Ancient Tomb
2 Sandstone Needle
2 Peat Bog
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Badlands
2 Swamp
6 Mountain
Spells:36
4 Grinning Ignus
4 Ruby Medallion
4 Nightscape Familiar
4 Kaervek's Torch
4 Demonfire
4 Duress
4 Infernal Tutor
4 Unmask
4 Grim Tutor
Sideboard: N/A
does it matter? I'm just trying to get the combo idea out there.
Explanation:
The deck works by getting two red "mana reducers" such as Nightscape Familiar and Ruby Medallion. Any combination of the two cards will work. Once you achieve this, you then play a Grinning Ignus, bounce it and replay it to generate infinite red mana, then you cast either a Kaervek's Torch or Demonfire strait to your opponent's dome ftw. With all of the fast mana, this deck easily goes off by the fourth turn. It also has customary stuff to deal with control spells such as Duress and Unmask. It's a pretty cool deck since the X-Spells can be cast on creatures such as Meddling Mage. I'm also pretty sure that this deck is decent enough to pull off some wins to say the least and if worked on, it might be a viable idea in the future.
Well, there you have it. Cavius The Great's latest innovation. Let me know what you guys think of the deck, and if it's decent or nothing near viable. Thanks ahead of time. Peace.
