If you had to chose a tenth card to be known as part of the "P10" [P9 + your chosen card] which card would you pick?

I would have to say Force of Will due to how game changing it can be. The ability to answer anything even when tapped out is damn powerful.

I would have to say Library of Alexandria or Mishra's Workshop. They are both amazing cards and they are both restricted which shows there power. Force of Will is also amazing but not at the caliber of the Power 9 or even 10.

All of the power nine appeared in Alpha and if I had to pick another card from that set it would be Balance. Why? Balance in an insanely degenerate card and is probably more busted than some of the actual power nine. It probably took long for people to abuse that card properly, which is why is was reprinted in both Revised and 4th Edition; whereas all of the power nine were discontinued after unlimited.

Load up the major card stores, and see what is on average the 10th most expensive card in their lists.

It's pointless to choose a 10th power card on power level - the "accepted" P9 cares about price only, otherwise Yawgmoth's Will would definitely be in over Timetwister.

As a note:

Several Cards have been printed that have power rivaling or exceeding various members of the P9. The P9 represent an exclusive club, the first 9 totally broken cards ever printed, that help temper set development even to the modern day. Their purpose is much more historical than being "the best" there is. With the way Legacy is right now Yawgmoth's Will, Mishra's Workshop, and Mind's Desire all are more powerful than any of the P9.

1) Library is retarded. See Tog, Gro-A- for explanation. I shouldn't have to demonstrate why casting Gush to reload your hand size back to 7 regardless if Gush resolves makes Library che stupido again.

2) Will is not nearly as degenerate as Black Lotus or Ancestral. The reason that Will is a potential banning candidate in Vintage is that it allows you to cast those cards again all at once. Sure, it's unfair, but it's a lot less unfair when there isn't Black Lotus and Ancestral Recall in the format. Mind's Desire also isn't as scary as those two cards are. Legacy would be vastly different if Lotus and Ancestral were around; it would be rather less so with Will, Desire, even Workshop around.

3) While Library is again ridiculous, the number of cards almost at that power level is awfully high. Bazaar of Baghdad, Mishra's Workshop, Mana Drain, Dark Ritual, and Oath of Druids all allow for some hideous things to happen in the Format of Misfit Toys (tm).

Yes I was joking. I guess its a bit of an inside joke among people who play Vintage, that YawgWill is just so completely retarded broken that it might as well have been silver-bordered.

I wasn't going to post again in this thread, but any talk of YawgWill not being the complete stupidness is just hilarious. If it were suddenly legal in Legacy, storm combo would be the only viable archetype, at least until they print a blue Spirit Guide (which they will, it's WotC, they give blue everything) so you can Stifle/Spell Snare/etc on Turn 0 as well as Force.

I agree. Why stop at one more card? Why not eliminate Timetwister and free up that slot too? We're being arbitrary so there's no limits to that.

As an aside, Library of Alexandria is stone cold nuts right now. It directly relates to who wins the GAT mirror, which is the most important game in Vintage right now.

As a further aside, my Yawgmoth's Will is silver-bordered with an Unglued expansion symbol.
