So I just watched the first round of Lorwyn Foil Play Sets end on Ebay. I was really supprised at how high some of auctions went. Here are just a Few:

Thoughtseize: $260.00

Doran, the Seige Tower: $88.00

Cryptic Command: $61.00

Oona's Prowler: $67.00

Ponder: $63.00

Thorn of Amethyst: $103.00

Gaddock Teeg: $123.00

I diden't watch the Walkers, but I was looking more at the cards that will/might find there way into legacy.

I think Ponder will see some Vintage play which is the main reason why some cards are very expensive. I believe that format drives up prices a lot more than Legacy. I will be glad to have Ponder when the set becomes legal, it will just make a lot of decks better.

It's probably worth remembering that not very much Lorwyn has been opened yet since the set has not been been officially released. That's probably driving some of those prices up for the moment. Ponder especially should be coming down a fair bit once everyone's had his fill of boxes.

These were all pre-sale auctions and like with all sets the prices are up from where they will eventually settle in. Where does everyone think these prices will level out? Is there any other cards anyone would like to see final prices on?

Yes actually how are the new dual lands doing. I heard that they would be quite a bit, espically foil.

Pre-orders of the non-foils of the new duals were running in the 50-60 dollar range when I pre-ordered my Merrow Reejerey', O-Rings, Thorn of Amethyst, and Silvergill Adepts a few days ago. I dunno what they'll be like now.

edit: I forgot to pre-order ponders like an idiot, but I figure if they're common they shouldn't be too hard to get my hands on regular copies, I dun need no fancy foils or foriegns.....Unless they're german.... or Russian..... I'm trying to get out asian cards, lol, but i still have a few. Btw, if anyone has a 10th edition Russian Incinerate, I'd be interested in grabbin one.... I only have 3.

or Russian.....

If anyone has a Russian playset of Ponders, I will pay money for them. No joke.

Well sadly the packs I was able to acquire for dirt cheap were 10th, as Lorwyn hadn't been released yet. But I am contemplating getting in touch with a guild mate and paypal'ing him some money to see if he'll buy me a box or two of Russian Lorwyn and ship em my way.

Dunno if I can get that to go down, though.

And yes. I opened the russian 10th packs I had as there's like 1 person in this area that actually plays this game on any sense of regular basis and I never see him, so seeing if i could rip some pimpness was more attractive thought. Ended up with a few playable goodies.

With the set being brand new, few drafts of foreign product have been conducted. That would be the easiest way to get kung-pow or Rodina-stained Ponders.
