So I am watching Family Guy on Adult Swim. Enjoying the episode, when it goes to commercial. They show the MLB Postseason commercial with Dane Cook talking and then it pop ups on to the screen. They show a picture of the new elf, Imperious Perfect. But they end up talking about tourneys and when Lorwyn would be released. I had no idea they still did commercials. Anyones else see it?

And on a side note, fuck Imperious Prefect and fuck Elves. That thing gave me more grief in Friday's draft. If Merfolk weren't godly and Summon The School + Fallowsage wasn't the most ridiculous combo ever and allowed me to draw a billion Oblivion Rings, I'd have gotten my ass kicked.

QFT. Merfolk in Lorwyn Draft is ridiculous. A friend of mine drafted mono blue last Friday, and since everyone else was drafting green and white he got all the best picks. He had 4 Pestermites, 2 Familiars Ruse, 3 Faerie Trickery, and a Spellstutter Sprite. He also had a couple of Fallowages (ridiculous if you have a ton of Merfolk), as well as some Silvergill Adepts and 3(!) Silvergill Dousers (<-----this motherfucker is a house in limited).

Seriously, it was like playing against BBS...in Limited.

Yeah, I ended up losing in the finals because I stupidly passed on a couple Silvergill Dousers in round 1 (I started out going with the Faerie plan but had to audible.) I ended up with one Douser and quickly learned how ungodly that bastard is. If I'd had more of them to stall for time while developing my Summon The School engine, I'd have smashed face. (How fucking retarded is it that you can return StS at instant speed?)

Oh and it was really funny when I won both my first round games by getting infinite turns with the Champion Merfolk dude, Streambed Aquitects, Reejerey, and Summon the School. Infinite Turns in Draft >> Everything.
