Volt
10-29-2007, 05:46 PM
The next sanctioned Batcave Legacy tournament will be held on the first Sunday in December. We are departing from the normal "last Sunday of the month" rule, since the last Sunday of November happens to be Thanksgiving weekend. Although attendance has been down at the last couple of tourneys, I think we'll see a spike at this one. This will be the last sanctioned Legacy tournament at the Batcave this year.

In the spirit of the holidays, I will be giving a free Lorwyn booster pack to everyone who registers for the tournament.

Where:
The Batcave
6415 E Mill Plain Blvd
Vancouver, WA 98661
Phone: (360) 694-4947

When:
December 2, 2007
First round begins at 1:00pm.
Deck registration is required!

Entry Fee: $10

How Long:
Probably 4-5 rounds, then cut to top 4 or 8, depending on attendance.

Prizes:
1st: CASH (50% of entry fees received)
2nd thru 4th: store credit
5th thru 8th: store credit (if attendance allows)

Put me down. Dunno what I'll play, either Tog, Vorosh (U/b/g Landstill) or some kind of Threshold deck.

Hopefully, the Seattle contingent can make it?

Jak

I should be there. Can we sticky this?

I know I can make the drive, it's all a matter of how many people are willing to be in my car.

I need to recheck my calendar to make sure a certain concert isn't that date (I think it's the 4th), but if I'm correct, I'm showing.

And maybe this time I'll playtest beforehand.

Man, this thread needs more trash talk like the Northeastern tourney threads.

I'm totally gonna, you know, win...with my deck.

And you're not, or something.

Damn, its harder than I thought.

I would, but my local is throwing a rather large event during the 1st of Dec.

It is at Game Empire, in Sand Diego... the first prize I think will be a playset of foil Goyfs, and I think the other prizes are quite good as well; such as foil playsets of other played cards, foreign FoWs, and of coarse Guru Lands... Shawna wasn't very cleear about it all when I asked, but the prizes are guaranteed and the date is set... Dec. 1st.

Man, weaksauce trash talking going on in here. Must I remind you what we are really capable of? Does nobody remember the friendly banter between our own Zilla and Bardo?

4serios. Your all gonna lose anyways, when I punish each of you for your $40 duals, $20 fetches and useless blue spells. Fo sho' bitchez.

This thread is a stain on the otherwise proud and noble tradition of pre-tournament trash-talking. For shame!

Posts that didn't make me laught have been pruned. - Bardo

No, he left my comment in as well. Surprising though, as his deck is one of the targets of my not-so-secret-tech. His sideboard options alone are enough to warrant my deck needing to tweak the sideboard.

EDIT: Hey by the way Bardo, would it warrant a vendetta that I not only lost with Thresh but also knock you out of contention when you show up this next time with my new deck? Because I'm laughing inside at the prospect of that, really.

You'll only get to knock him out of contention if I don't knock you out of contention...again.

Weaklings. Obviously, my sliver-fu cannot be beaten. I will once again 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, draw, 2-0 my way into the finals like the pimp I that I am. You bitches are basically just showing up to pay me.

You bitches are basically just showing up to pay me.

And then take half? Technically you went 2-0, 2-0, 2-0, Draw, 2-0, Split, biatch. And you only beat me the first time because I mulled to 4 with no land. It was a good thing you drew with me, because you know that without that kind of luck, you were hopeless up against me.

Well not anymore, if you're packing all that.

Of course, if you have all that, you'll probably lose to combo early on anyway, and we won't have to see you in the later rounds when we're winning .

Our last tournament was TESx2, Counterslivers x2, RGB "Rock", U/G/w Thresh, and then bad decks.

So ya, if you want to trash the counterslivers and thresh, you need to have decent game against combo as well. Come to think of it, I hear Chalice of the Void at 0 and 2 basically cripples TES. They can't get artificial mana sources out, and then they can't get their Burning Wish online for Shattering Spree. But good luck stalling them to the point you have 4 mana out to use.

I'm almost tempted to play Null Rod instead of Pithing Needle at this point just to shut off artificial mana sources as well, but I'm thinking with EtW being the more common kill, that a cheap board sweeper would work better. Still need more testing.

Well, I was one of the combo players and against Angel Stompy games 2 and 3 he got down turn one chalices set at 0. Game 2 I got 10 gobbo down casting all my 0cc spells, Dark Rit, EtW for 10. I lost because it was a little late in the game. Game 3 I did the same thing on turn 2. So Chalice at 0 is not exactly crippling unless aided by something else like discard or counters.

Hopefully I won't lose to combo :frown: .

Dude. Friends > family. You can see them again, we're but a once in a month chance xD

Ya, the Chalice @ 0 plan is pretty bad on it's own, but I do recall having a bitch of a time against Faeirie Stompy playing out Chalice @ 0 then immediately @ 2 on turn 2. I was basically at their mercy for the first 4-5 turns. Bad place to be when they start hittin you with a 4/3 that's swinging a Jitte and a SoFI.

If I actually had a set of Drakes, I'd be playing that here. I hear Chalice with FoW & Daze backup is good against practically our entire field, lol.

EDIT:

They're coming in from Idaho, so I actually won't see them for a while after this. Either way, though, they'll be here for the entire weekend, too, so it's not like I'm skipping everything. Only the things that were interfering with plans I had already made.

Plus, if I don't go, who's going to drive the Seattle contingent?

You should just tell them to move to your area, there's nothing worth staying in Idaho for anyways, short of a potato farm. That way, they won't interfere with your important plans, you won't look like a douche when they pop up unexpectedly, and you can still make your tournaments to hang with fellow nerds.

And I agree, if you don't drive, we lose people that are actually willing to show up. As opposed to those bags of flesh that are within close proximity that don't even bother coming.

Ha, it's ironic that you say that. See, the relatives in question (my sister and her husband) actually used to live in an apartment that was roughly 5-7 minutes from where I live currently. This was until roughly a year ago, when they moved from here to Idaho. So I don't see them moving back, somehow.

Easy solution: get the Christmas tree at night, or next week. Getting the tree at night is pretty typical, a lot of places are open pretty late. If you scrub out, all the better for your time budget. If not, steal a neighbors tree and redecorate it.

Dude, Froggy and I played in the same tournament in your fucking store at the same time. Were you just baked out of your mind? I was merely drunk, but that is besides the point.

In the tournament in question, I wrecked the house with Gro-A-Tog (taking 2 of your Dark Confidants in prizes), Froggy played 4c Tog and we ended up playing Type 4 after we split the Top 4.

Thankfully, I was not paired against Monsieur Frog in that tournament, as he is a known and sworn enemy of mine, which is to say, he usually kicks my ass.

Dude, blah blah blah, blah blah blah.

No need to remind me of tournaments I've hosted, I remember. I also remember you two showing up twice total, and the second time for each of you the other wasn't there. So realistically, both of you being in the same place at the same time is still miraculous. Apparently having real lives means you can't have fun anymore. For shame.

And you guys act like swinging the pot for 1st isn't worth 6-8 hours? I mean hell, Froggie wouldn't even have to drive, just nap the whole way down there. Or if he were smart, he'd have a PSP or DS, because those are life savers to begin with.

Now here's the real catch. If you two AND Zilla show up, I'm buyin you all lunch at the bar across the lot. I know, it's generous, but really it's to prove you guys just didn't bring in some kind of cyborg replacements.

You realize if you go, your going to miss this. And then while your trying to get back up to Seattle, something bad might happen.

Something like you getting abducted by one of us and thrown into a trunk, then tied down with weights at the PDX airport strip about 20 yards from where planes would be taking off and landing on the runway.

It's probably a better idea for you to show to this one. You know, for your health.

Love to, and I'm really going to try, but my family is really harping on this whole "Family Dinner" shit because my sister's coming in from out of state (of course, she lived in state until just a couple of months ago. I mean it's not like I haven't seen her recently). And if it turns out I can't come, I'm not sure if someone else would be willing to drive (Brian should get off his lazy ass and do it, though). I'm sort of the Seattle lynchpin because I'm crazy enough to make a 3-hour drive both ways for a tourney with 12 people in it :P. Of course, if I can bring 4-5 people, there will be more. But we'll see.

Oh, and that whole bagged-n-dragged method is going to happen if a certain someone by the name of LinkXwing doesn't plan on showing up. He's been through it a few times before, so I'm sure this one won't make much difference to him.

Also I think he plays Magic.

Not very well, though.

How are you going to beat us all if you are here?

But, Jak, How are you going to beat us even if you do play your crazy Elgin Deck?

I just picked up the last cards I needed to finish my super secret Batcave-smashing, Thresh, Sliver, and Vorosh destroying deck. Volt can vouch for me....lets just say that Timber Protector is going to be shoving splinters up all your rear quarters.

I basically haven't played magic since school started...I hope I get paired against Slivers in the first round, because I am going to need to practice for a few games before I remember how to play the deck well again. Nothing like crushing face to start the day.

You know what, I'm so good, I took first last night. With Treefolk. My lamp didn't win a single game all night. So, you see, splitting first with slivers isn't really all that impressive. I've seen your cat play; now, Star is better than my lamp, but not by much. And you had to split with her?

Also, Slivers are were hardly man-made. According to canon, they actually existed naturally on a plane which is heretofore unrevealed, but their Queen (and subsequently a large number of their hive) was taken to Rath when it was assembled from pieces of various other planes. So they aren't man-made, they were naturally occuring, at least somewhere.

Which means that there's still a sliver (ha ha) of hope that we'll get an entire Sliver block when Wizard's decides to visit that particular plane.

We have only played matches a few times. We went over this last time we played. I think I have played....two matches against you since I would consider myself a "good" player. One with Landstill lately, where I lost fair and square (but a very close match), and maybe once against you at your store with thresh.

I do remember testing against you at your store several times when I crushed your stupid belcher deck with Thresh. Over and over and over and over again.

DeathwingZERO
11-30-2007, 09:26 AM
Actually Belcher had been disassembled long before I got the second store. At that point you probably would have been testing against either Deadguy Ale, Solidarity, or IGGy Pop using a very dated list. And ya, IGGy had very bad matchups against Thresh, but that was also back when it maindecked Stifles and wasn't so reliant on Counterbalance.

If I was going to be getting into any combo decks at this point, it'd be TES or Ichorid. But with so many people playing their stupid U/G/x variants of any kind, I'm just gonna go back to the basics to beat them.

EDIT: And I haven't ever considered myself good, lol. I'm a much better trader and dealer than player.

Ya, there's been a few. Not many, but I'd say probably 2 at AU and 1 or 2 at AW. Other than that it was pretty much Vintage at AW. And I think I'm still the top player there as far as wins are concerned. You guys just fail at playing Broken.

You and Don to this day are the only two I was able to get FCG to actually combo out against.

Also, there was the match between you playing GAT and myself playing Tog, and I had to topdeck the Cunning Wish that would Berserk me past your two rather stupidly large Dryads for the win. I think to this day that's the largest I've gotten Tog in a tournament game.

I'm pretty sure waking up at noon thirty was by far the strongest play made today.

An even more disappointing turnout than last time. People who as recently as last night and even this morning said they were going to show didn't show. You know who you are, fuckers. (EDIT: Just to be a clear, Pinder and Jak are not included in my wrath)

Also, the fact that there was some huge Pokemon tourney going on simultaneously (a fact the shop-owner neglected to mention when I asked him if this weekend was available) made for a chaotic and somewhat suffocating play environment.

11 people showed up to play, but 2 bailed out at the last minute because it was a "waste of time." So, 9 of us played it out. We played 4 rounds, no cut. Here's the standings:

Top 4
1) 4-0, Witch-Maw Landstill, Dan Spero (Bardo)
2) 3-1, UGW Thresh w/CounterTop, Don Bruss (AngryTroll)
3) 3-1, UWb Countersliver w/CounterTop, Chris Lennon (Volt)
4) 2-2, Cephalid Breakfast, Nick Colpron (Nightshade81)

The rest of the field:
Rg Goblins
Angel Stompy
Red Stax
Red Lando (Land Destruction)
Burn

Honestly, I'm very disappointed. What do I have to do to get people to fucking show up and play Legacy? Sigh.

It is disappointing. I think most of it was the weather and the fact that the holidays are coming. January will be a lot less hectic and hopefully there will be a good turnout. The last few tourneys ahve been at rough times. But hopefully the next month, the Seattle guys can come down and more people will make it if the weather is nice.

Is anyone else planning on writing a report?

I actually almost made it. Around 9am whatever the fuck I have caught back up with me though, and put me into a constant state of nausea. I swear if I have to run to the bathroom to shit water (literally) again I'm just going to call this Ebola and get it over with. Oh well, this is my time of the year to get sick, and it'll be over with soon enough.

My apologies to all who did show up. I even had the morning planned out so I could meet up with my buddy after he was at church to get the cards from him in order to play.

Also, I love how Troll was talkin big game against Thresh and Slivers, then switched decks at the last minute. I LOL'd.

EDIT: Who the hell bails out on an 11 man event because it's "a waste of time". If your confident in your deck and hit a straight shot your up $45 in cash for about 5 hours of play. Seems good to me. Were they playing some kind of Lorwyn release deck?

It was our friend from Beaverton/Aloha and his poker-playing friend who likes to play Battle of Wits.

Wow, what asstards.

I could understand Joe-the-pussy copping out like that, but Brett hasn't played a serious game of Magic in months, and didn't even call me the entire week to tell me he was showing up anyways.

And I'm pretty sure their idea of "not wasting time" was hitting shit tournaments at Stars that are free play with no prizes. Or hitting the Copper Monkey and hopefully breaking even on a $100 buy in table with actual poker sharks playing.

Ya, I'll take the $45 in cash, thanks.

EDIT: And so much for their identities, heh.

EDIT2: Oh, and was it Mike that fucked up and didn't tell you about the Pokemon tournament on that day? Seems rather odd for him to pull something like that, since they have event schedules on the walls all month.

Yeah, somehow Mike forgot all about the Pokemon tournament until someone called him last night. It was scheduled like 2 months ago, but he never put it up on the board and it slipped his mind. There must have been 50+ kiddies in there all afternoon. It was brutally hot and stuffy in there, and table space was at a premium.

Nothing like fighting off little pokefanatics for some table space. Been there before.

Though I'm deeply saddened at the fact that there were so many kids for Pokemon, and nobody plays Magic. You'd figure the game has run it's course, there's no more ways to win than sweeping your opponents benched Pokemon.

Damn kids shows. I bet if Magic had a show where Urza or someone had to go around collecting their spells, it'd go over real well too.

EDIT: Oh, and if anyone wants to do some playtesting, I really don't have much to do during my days right now, since trying to get a decent job is like pulling teeth. So hit me up on PM so you can get my number. Ancient Wonders, Shari's, and Dennys are all places I tend to frequent for that, so I can meet up pretty much anywhere in the Beaverton area.

Grats on T4...again. Seriously, we need more people to show up so people will take Slivers seriously. Also, I like how Bardo just keeps naming landstill after creatures with the colors he's playing. When he pushes 5c, I demand it be called Queenstill .

The rest of the field:
Rg Goblins

Reverse nature?

Honestly though, 2 people bailed on me because this was finals week, 1 bailed because he had sudden plans, and myself and Brian bailed because of the weather. Hopefully, if all goes well and people aren't wimps, I can have 5 people from Seattle next time. I wouldn't hold my breath, but so far at least 3 of us are dead set on January (barring sudden mini-blizzards, of course).

I was actually thinking about going this week but my girlfriend got us tickets to the trans-siberian orchestra, which I just got back from and was freakin awesome. She's been talking about possibly wanting to play magic again one of these days (apparently she used to play a little before I met her) so depending on which weekend the next tournament is we may be there.

Introduction
Finals Week? Bah! Radiation Protection Monday, Thermodynamics Tuesday, Science and Religion Thursday, Shakespeare Friday morning, and Neutronics Friday at noon. And I drove up from Corvallis.

The weather was terribly crappy. Chris picked me up, and then we picked up Nick (Nightshade with Cephalid Breakfast) and Abe (unregged with red Stax). We walked into Batcave just as this judge yells (YELLS) "WHO WANTS TO PLAY!!!!!?" And 55 little kids screamed "WEEEEEEEEEE DOOOOOO!!!!!!" I tried to turn around and walk out the door, but was stopped by the momentum of Chris, Abe, and Nick.

On a side note, I believe the real reason that Brett and Joe left had to do with the presence of so many minors and the lack of 200 yards of separation, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, we got one and a half long tables, enough space for 12 people or so. It was awesome. Someone actually had to leave to go get more chairs. It was about 450 degrees in there, which was lucky, because if they had crammed a single additional 9 year old in there, all of our cards would have burst into flame. Even the water pokemon.

The Deck
Here's what I was playing. It's my standard UGW Thresh list, with mainboard Counterbalance/Top, which is amazing. Seriously. I also love Counterspell mainboard, although that does not seem to be popular.

4 Nimble Mongeese
4 Goyf
2 Enforcer

4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
3 Predict

3 Divining Top
2 Pithing Needle
3 Counterbalance

3 Daze
2 Counterspell
4 Force of Will
4 Swords to Plowshares

4 Flooded Strand
1 Polluted Delta (Couldn't find a third Windswept Heath for some reason)
2 Windswept Heath
1 Forest
2 Island
4 Tropical Island
4 Tundra

Sideboard:
4 Hydroblast (boarded in twice)
3 Engineered Explosives (boarded in against Slivers)
2 Vedalkin Shackles (For Thresh, but boarded against Bardo)
2 Krosan Grip
3 Armageddon
1 Mystic Enforcer (boarded in every match)

The deck is great for me. It often feels creature light, and can struggle to get to Threshold, but its very solid. The third Enforcer was the most commonly boarded card, usually for Dazes against good players, but for Pithing Needle if it wasn't needed. Counterspell main gives the deck answers to PDeed, Wrath, Fact or Fiction, Tog, Exalted Angel, and a lot of other cards that Daze and Counterbalance do not handle.

Lately I've been looking for another creature to run alongside the Goyfs, but there really isn't another one worth it. Werebear doesn't cut it anymore, a third Enforcer is too many main, Dryad isn't amazing in the Counterbalance build, Counterbalance seems stronger than Mage, and the list goes on. One card that at least looked interesting was Stonecloaker, as it saves Goyf from Swords, removes LftL from opposing yards, flies over Goyfs, and doesn't rely on the graveyard. Unfortunately, it costs three for a 3/2 that requires a Goyf in play to cast. That alone rules it as cute, but terrible.

If the Seattle Crew had made it, I was strongly considering running RGBSA wiht 4 Thoughtsieze, 3 Therapy for disruption, 4 Darkheart Sliver and 2 Plague Slivers main, along with 2 Magus of the Moon and 2 Loaming Shaman to go with the Shriekmaws and Goyfs. Darkheart Sliver has proved very solid even when I'm not playing against Slivers, so making room for a couple of extras if I expect two or three sliver decks to be present is perfectly reasonable. In fact, with Goblins and two burn decks, that would have been very solid today with only one sliver deck. 2 Plague Sliver main is just awesome.

The Tournament
So with a tremendous 9 people, we began. And, to make the day better, Chris and I played first round. I lost game one to a weak draw, but game two could not have physically gone any better for me. Counterbalance came down, Goyfs appeared on top of my deck, and I ended up playing something like 2 Geese, 2 Goyfs, and 2 Mystic Enforcers. One Enforcer and a few Goyfs went farming, but with a second Enforcer, the life gain was enough for me to crush the race. I also managed to topdeck a Force to savagely counter the Swords that would have finished my last Enforcer. Basically, I am amazing at topdecking my way out of bad spots against Chris. (Cue foreshadowing) Game three was close, but I managed to win it on the back of Goyfs. During one game (I think it was game three), Chris had a Hibernation and Crystalline Sliver in play. He first returned Crystalline to his hand for two life, then attempted to return the Hibernation to avoid dying to the Goyf damage they had both been assigned. I let him pay two life, then Swords the sliver. He paid two more life, and I Swords' it again. He ended up letting it go, and the damage race ended up being extremely close.

Next round I played against some sort of monored burn/land destruction deck. Game one, I hardcast a Daze to stop an Avalance Rider on turn three (off of Sandstone Needle), then went to town with Goyfs. Game two, I sided in Hydroblasts. I almost lost this game to a second turn Magus of the Moon, again off of Sandstone Needle. I was tapped out for a Top and when the Magus came down, and realized that I was in trouble. Luckily, a Hydroblast floated to the top of the deck to pair with the basic Island in play to put me back in the game. From there Goyfs carried the day.

Round Three was against Bardo. He took better notes than I did, so he can correct this if it's wrong, but the general idea is accurate. Bardo mulliganed game one and two, if I recall correctly. Game one involved 3 Ponders and a Brainstorm by the fourth turn, and then four successive Goyfs, a Mongoose, and a Mystic Enforcer to smash face. Game two was a brutal face smashing, involving massive card advantage from my mulliganing, Fact or Fiction, his Goyf, and Engineeree Explosives. Brutal. Game three was very close, but I could not pull it together. I had an opening for Mystic Enforcer or Armageddon to go the distance, but drew lots of land. (If I could topdeck against other players, besides Chris, the way I topdeck against Chris, I'd be unstoppable. This happens all the time in testing, too) The turning point of the game was Bardo drawing a black source for Deed and blowing up Needle, Goose, and Goyf. It's a lose-lose for me...I need to apply pressure to race, but can't over-extend.

I made a few bad play mistakes in this match. First of all, against Bardo, a champion of Threshold, I sided out Counterbalance instead of Daze. Duh. The testing I have done against Landstill did not include Goyfs, so I was unimpressed with Counterbalance. Against Bardo's list, however, CB was pretty strong. My bad. Second, with a Top in play, I found a Ponder during my main phase. For some reason, I flipped Top, cast Ponder, then drew the Top and replayed it. I am going to blame 55 Poke-kids for distracting me or something. I was trying to dig a card deeper to try and exploit the opening I had, but obviously should have waited a turn to shuffle. Third, Bardo managed to make a mistake and tap one factory to activate the other and swing into a Goose. However, I made the same mistake he did, and assumed it was a 3/3 and did not block it. Fourth, and probably the worst, I Pithing Needled Mishra's Factory instead of Deed/EE in the third game. He had two Factories in play, and I had counters in hand, but I should have Needled Deed and kept digging for an Armageddon, using my dudes on defense and saving the coutners to try to force through a Geddon.

Last round, I played against Burn. Game one, a turn two Counterbalance countered lots of burn spells (including two that cost two on the same turn. That was awesome). Game two, an Aether Vial helped me dig, Goyfs put on pressure, and Hydroblasts, Counterspells, and a Force countered infinite Magma Jets to try and keep him from finding Price of Progress and Fireblast. I swung for 15 on a single turn with three Goyfs and a Mongoose after killing all of his Fanatics.

Conclusion

Well, I am still looking for another creature for the deck. Counterbalance/Top was excellent in two matchups, and good in the other two. Shackels didn't do anything, but I didn't play the mirror. Overall, even though the turnout was low and there were a million Pokemon players, there was a lot of good Legacy played.

I got second and $25 in credit, which picked up a playset of Shriekmaws and a bunch of random stuff. I was looking for fetches, duals, PDeeds, Magi of the Moon, and assorted goodstuff, but the store was pretty picked over. There were Thoughsiezes and Garruuks for $25, but I needed the Shriekmaws, and I grabbed a Gaddock Teeg for $10.

Props:
Goyf, etc etc. Stupid crazy good card.
Counterbalance, ditto
Hydroblasts for being great all day, when they almost didn't go in the SB
Chris for driving
The Seattle crew, for attempting to come
Chris, for letting me borrow a Shackles, that came down against Bardo's Goyf. And suddenly the 3/4 Goyf that I could take went to a 5/6 that I could not.
The Pokemon Judge, that did a pretty good job of maintaining order among 55 kids, average age of 12 or so. Maybe lower.

Slops:
The weather
Pokemon
The two guys that didn't come for some reason (Trevor and friend?)
The two guys that left (Joe and Brett)
Ebola
Frogboy, Zilla, etc for not representing
On the other hand, Bardo killing Zilla might have been traumatizing for all of the little kids
Mike for forgetting about the Pokemon playing kids.

I agree, slops to ebola. I mean for christs sake, that tournament setup looked like nearly the perfect layout to test my concoction. Goddamnit.

Oh, and I'm thinking of stealing Brett's cards from him. Seeing as he never plays, I'm sure he won't need them. Anybody want dibs on his non-foil non-blue stuff? $D

A good creature for the slot would be Sea Drake. Serendib would work awesome too.

The tourney sounded totally awesome. Hopefully next month will have less Pokemon and more Magical card players. I plan to be there and dominate the field with board control.

Why are you boarding Shackles in against the control deck? You actually can't win going long; just run out two guys and make him show you removal, then do it again, then see if he can counter Armageddon, guy. If he can, well, it wasn't your day.
