I wanted to start a little discussion about these 2 GP's that are coming up which are in Extended. I was a little surprised that Wizards started off the year with back to back Extended GP's.
Here are the dates as I'm planning on attending both of these events. I was wondering who else from Syracuse or the area was also interested?
GP Vancouver (Feb. 23rd -24th)
GP Philly (Mar. 15th - 16th)
Let me know.
Thanks.
Vancouver's a bit away, how do you plan to get there?
Philly should be a no-brainer.

I'm planning on flying over to Vancouver. I have my passport all set and ready.
As of right now, I'm not sure if anyone from Syracuse wants to go with me to Vancouver, but constructed formats are my thing and I can't pass up these 2 GP's.
Also, I'm interested in playtesting extended with anyone online or in person to get prepared for this event.

I'm 100% in for philly, Extended is a format that I love but don''t get to play a lot of. Vancouver is out, I really don't want to traval that far, plus I don't have a passport and really can't afford one right now. I belive Rich, Rick and Jason are going to be judging in Philly, Mewin will prob. go, so if we can find 2 more we will be all set. If anyone from the Cuse or, close to it, want to go to Philly PM me or Nickrit2000 and let us know.

Just be careful. I hear they have bears guarding the border in Canada.

Jack Elgin is in the army so I have nothing to worry about.

Jack joined the Mexican army? I didn't realize that.

I started reading this thread and by halfway I seriously thought this was Mish-Mash forum. I'm also saddened that it's Vancouver, B.C. and not Vancouver, WA. I would very happily go up to WA for a GP in Extended, I've been wanting to do one of those for a while now.
Since it's a decent ways away, I can possibly scrounge up some cash to make it up to that, I'm gonna have to check on the NW group and see if anyone else is willing to do that trek.

Well I'm definitely in for Philly & I will probably be able to go to Vancouver unless something unexpected comes up & I don't have the money. Since I'm not going to Worlds I should be able to save up money given almost 3 months with no distant events inbetween. Has anyone else from CNY shown interest in Vancouver?

Doug, let me know if your going. I'll probably start looking for airfare and hotel rooms after Christmas. Also, getting together and doing some playtesting will do some good. Let me know.
