Kave Predator and Armadillo Cloack

I know this is a noob question, but i wanna be 100% sure on this.
Say a i have a predator ingame, my enemy attack with a 3/3 with Armadillo on it, i block with kavu; the question is; my kavu will die, or it will become an 7/7, and only the 3/3 will die?

Your Kavu will die.

That is because damage resolves, then State-based effects are checked (among others, creatures with lethal damage on them like your Predator die) and only after that the trigger of the Predator is put on the stack, but when it resolves, the Predator is already gone, so it does nothing.
