Every year neutral ground hosts a tournament for a time walk on the first of the year. Nowadays they let everyone vote on the format. If you guys are interested just go to http://www.neutralground.com/ and vote for legacy. If we get enough votes I am sure it would make for an awesome event as NYC is a central location. Hell a big turnout might even convince NG to start running legacy tournies more often.

Btw the voting thing is on the right side of the page.

Woot. Legacy is now officially in the lead for voting. Now I just have to decide what to play.

I haven't got a clue when the poll closes. I don't see anything about it. Probably in the next week or so, since they need to have some prior notice on the format so people can prepare. Lets get more votes for legacy though!!!

EDIT: I just saw it says it's the daily poll so it might end in the enxt 15 minutes. It seems to be really close. Legacy is tied with extended at 31 votes atm.

Goddamit extended just pulled ahead. Lets get some more votes for legacy people. Vote Vote Vote, and we will have a time walk tourny in a few weeks.

Wow I can't sleep. I just keep refreshing to see the votes. It is so damn close. Legacy will go up, then extended will, then legacy, etc etc. I hope this thing just ends or else I won't be getting much sleep this week.

I see Legacy in first easily with 476 votes and Booster Draft a distant second at 112. Extended only has 70. Did I miss something?

Wow I just woke up and saw this myself. I didn't expect to get nearly this many votes, but its awesome nonetheless.

Yeah, Legacy is the clear leader at this point. I'll be there if it happens.

Someone wrote a voting script methinks. You'd think they'd try to make the results more believeable...

Yeah, my thoughts as well. It'll be interesting to what happens now at least.

As in, it has a lot of vocal supporters on the Internet who have somehow gotten a reputation for being annoying elitist assholes?

So when do we know what the format will be. I realy hope this is legacy because i dont enjoy traveling 2+ hours for tourneys.

How big do they plan on this being? I went to a Legacy GPT there and there was barely enough room for us, never mind a bunch of Sourcers and randoms.

For all you Legacy players out there we’ve decided to give you a chance at something cool too! Jan 12th @11am come down and play in a Legacy tournament with a top prize of $150!

So legacy didnt win but we still get a tournament. Im gonna bring as many people as i can. I bet that if attendace is good enough that neutral ground will start to run regular events so i would suggest that everyone try as hard as they can to make this thing.

$150 really isn't that much, barely one set of blue duals.

Seriously. That wouldn't even cover my travel to the event.

It would be absurd if you had to fill your gas tank 5 times on the round trip to NYC.

Anyways, Neutral Ground clearly doesn't see this as a Mana Leak level event, and why should they? I'm sure they only have a limited knowledge of the Source, if any, and for a local event, the prize support is quite fine at first glance. This clearly depends on the entry fee, though, but at any rate: this prize support is equal to or better than what gets put up at the Springfield stores. I think it would be seen as unreasonable if someone from NoVA/Portland/Syracuse/Albany said that Mass tourneys wouldn't cover their travel fee.

5 times? It costs at least $45 to fill my tank once. And no, it would probably take a little more than a tank round trip. Plus tolls, food, etc. And then you've got to factor in the worth of my time
