On the 29th Wareham had a 25 player legacy tournament. I Split for 1st with my team mate Rodney (Roodmistah). Here was my list:

Lands:18
4 Ancient Tomb
4 City of Traitors
10 Mountain

Creatures:20
4 Rakdos Pit Dragon
4 Arc-Slogger
4 Simian Spirit Guide
4 Gathan Raiders
4 Magus of the Moon

Noncreature Spells:22
4 Seething Song
4 Chalice of the Void
4 Chrome Mox
3 Blood Moon
3 Umezawa's Jitte
3 Trinisphere
1 Sword of Fire & Ice

Sideboard:15
4 Pithing Needle
3 Powder Keg
3 Tormod's Crypt
1 Trinisphere
3 Pyroclasm
1 Blood Moon

Anyways... now to the 5 rounds of swiss.
Round 1: Cephalid Breakfast (Sorry I didn't right down your name.)
Game 1: All I remember is that when I was at 1 Life he Forces my Magus of the Moon removing another FOW instead of removing the Brainstorm or Lim-Dul's Vault in his hand and then I drop a Rakdos Pit Dragon which he should have been able to force too. Next turn I have hellbent and 4 Red sources on the board so I Jump, pump and swing for lethal.
Game 2: I have Chalice for 1, Trinisphere, Umezawa's Jitte and Blood Moon on the board But can't find a creature all game except for 1 Gathan Raiders that he forced. He beats me down with 2 Narcomoeba and Nomad-En Kor.
Game 3: Turn 1 Chrome Mox, Ancient Tomb, seething song Blood Moon and then Chalice for 1. Turn 2 Trinisphere. Turn 4 Rakdos Pit Dragon. Turn 5 Song off the top win.
1-0-0

Round 2: Loam Control (Force of Will)
Game 1: I'm beating him with Slogger until he finds Glacial Clasm. Then he takes himself down to 2 with the Clasm and when he sacs it I Kill him via Slogger's ability.
Game 2: Magus of the Moon Beats until he devastating Dreams for 3 I knock all his lands from his hand on the random discard. I then drop another mountain (I already have 2 Chrome Mox) and then another MOTM. next turn Seething Song Slogger. The turn after I Swing again and then Seething Song 8 to the face via Slogger.
2-0-0

Round 3: Counterbalance Naught, Rodney (Roodmistah)
Were waiting on a pizza so we take a Draw and go eat.
2-0-1

Round 4: White Thresh, Aaron (B4R0N)
Game 1: 2x Mongoose 1 Goyf with Force and Daze backup.... enough said.
Game 2: I have Powder Keg set at 1&2, Tormod's Crypt, Chalice @ 1, Trinisphere and Rakdos Pit Dragon out in like 4 turns... yeah...
Game 3: He's Mana Screwed and I have Trinisphere and Chalice for 1. Then I drop a Rakdos Pit Dragon and it goes all the way.
3-0-1

Round 5: Aluren {Stormtroopers}, Jeff Kowalczyk
We're both in with a draw so we take 1.
3-0-2
I was 4th at the end of the swiss.
----------------------------------
Now to the Top 8
Top 8: Aluren {Stormtroopers}, Jeff Kowalczyk Again
Game 1: I have the game with 3-Sphere, Slogger, and Rakdos Pit Dragon. But I make a math mistake during combat and Slogger his Spike Feeder going down to 0 cards in Library after combat he's at 2 life... dough! He passes his turn and I deck.
Game 2: I have double Slogger, Magus of the Moon and Trinisphere. Slogger beats until the eventual headshot for the win.
Game 3: I have two 3-Sphere stopping his aluren and being resilent to Stern Proctor bounce. Arc-Slogger goes all the way.

Top 4: Faerie Stompy, Scott Blumenthal (Vstheworld)
Game 1:Turn 1 Ancient tomb, Chrome Mox, Seething Song, Arc-Slogger. It then becomes a race between Slogger and Juggernaut that ends with me topdecking a 2nd red source and frying his naut.
Game 2: He ends up with like 4 flyers and a Jitte to my Magus of the Moon and Gathan Raiders....
Game 3: Beats with MOTM and Slogger for a little while. He is forced to be aggressive with 2 Serendib Efreets because of his low life and their upkeep cost after he knocks himself down enough I throw 2 at the face via Slogger and Serendibs kill him during his upkeep.

Top 2: Counter-Top Naught, Rodney Hannigan (Roodmistah)
We're both on the same team and want different prizes so we split.

Props:
-Everyone who came for making the day fun and very competitive
-Roob and Craig for hooking me up with 3 Powder Kegs right before the Tourney.
-Roob for proving that although Random, Mirri IS a good kill factor in MBA in the current legacy environment.
-Team Hammafist for Grabbing three top 8 Spots and taking first/second.
-Eric for hosting a great tournament
-Trinisphere for being draw almost every game.
-B4R0N for making me laugh during a game of magic more than anyone I've ever played.
-And last but not least Rakdos Pit Dragon for helping me pull like 5 games out of my ass.

Slops:
-My Play error against Jeff in top 8.
-Stoog for not living up to The Hammafist standard and not top 8ing.
-The damn pizza being mega hot and burning my tongue
-Pyroclasm for not being Pyrokenesis!

Anyways, thanks to all for the Great tournament I hope to see you guys at the next Hadley tourney.

Thanks for the report! I hope Gateway has more of these in the future. Your top 4 opponent (Scott) is VsTheWorld.

Our top 4 match was great. I misplayed in game 3 and it might have ended up costing me the match. I had Efreet on the board and you had Pit Dragon. I flashed in Pestermite before combat to tap down your Dragon instead of flashing it in before blockers to untap my Efreet and then block the Dragon. The Dragon ended up swinging once at some later point for 3 or 4, putting me at 6 life on my last turn instead of 9 or 10. That extra life would have been enough for me to play Sword of Light and Shadow and equip it the following turn to start gaining life. It probably wouldn't have mattered with Slogger and my double Efreet anyway, but I was beating myself up over it on the car ride home. O well. Congrats on the finish, I love Dragon Stompy.

Pizza that is too hot should recieve a DCI ban.

What build of aluren did stormies play? Blood moon vs. the recruiter version is almost GG, while I reckon that Toad's old (Phil Stolze's most current)(I odn't want to come off like I'm fellating Phil, but he's the last guy to do well with the deck whose name I recall) list's massive amount of basics might dodge that bullet. 3sphere would probably ruin his day, though.

Good report!

Wow Tom, like 2123123423453245 good things came out of that day, that tourney being one of them. If only I didn't have to play Roodmistah in the first round of top 8.

Scott, good job on losing to dredge in the fifth round, sliding into the top8, and then beating dredge in the first round. 6 games in a row vs. dredge doesn't sound like a god day for Faerie Stompy.

Congrats Tom and Roob, 3 of the top 8 finalists were from Gateway. Team Hammafist will hopefully be a prevelent force at Hadley. Rogue ftw ;)
