Im having problems finding some so if anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be great. whether it be site of upcoming tournaments or just telling me when one is and where and stuff or anything.

You won't find too many large legacy or vintage tourneys in Texas. The best place for information would be txgamers.com (http://txgamers.com/) which usually has announcements.

Although you are more likely to get a limited, standard, or extended event.

Which part of Texas? We have a fairly active scene in DFW. I think some guys in Houston were trying to get something together, but it never really took off. As Arsenal said, go to Txgamers.com, pretty much anyone involved with Magic in Tx posts there.

Legacy tourneys in Dallas, I'm in heaven now. And only an hour and a half drive away. Time to dust off the decks.

They are fun to just play some Legacy, but I wouldn't drive that far for them
until the big cash tourney rolls around 1-2 times a year.

That's true, it is a little far. However I am willing to make that sacrifice (once I finish assembling my "good" decks). It is however closest place there is for me to play at, that I've found atleast *sad face*.

We just started getting a crew of players together in Waco and should have 8-12 player Legacy events by the end up July I'd imagine.

Post about it when it does. I'm not that far from Waco.

It would be incredibly helpful to know where there are actual Legacy players in Texas, and their density in said locations. The lack of topographical information like this really makes getting any sort of scene in the state difficult to orchestrate, and I'm sure if the information was available that 3 or 4 hubs in the state would be incredibly easy to set up so that everyone could have places to play regularly without having to drive an obscene amount to get there.

Txgamers.com is the best resource for Texas Magic. There's an online calendar where events are posted and tournaments are advertised on the boards regularly. Although, there is a (as per usual) small, but devoted group of Legacy players. Most of the people there are the "PTQ crowd" if you know what I mean.

I don't remember if the prerelease is this coming weekend, but is there still going to be a Legacy Tournament in Garland on Saturday?

Is a set of Dual lands for first with a $10 entry fee worth it for you guys to play in? Of course the duals would be in quality condition.

I'm assuming driving about 1.5 hours (so Austin and Dallas) to Waco. I think this is how I'm going to start running the first tournaments. I might increase the prizes later, but that seems like a safe way to start.

Also, for those of you unaware, there is a Legacy tournament August 9th in Ft. Worth. It's part of the Texas Magic Tour series. There are just booster pack prizes for this event, but is a sanctioned and reported.

The link should have the bulk of your info. It's only a $10 entry fee.
